Used for various pipe and steel cutting. I waited a few years to buy the M18 version because it’s not cheap and I couldn’t convince myself it was as good as the corded version. Well, it works just as well as my older corded unit and I don’t have to drag a cord around or unplug my grinder to plug in the portaband.

As a electrician I use this to cut mostly strut and conduit. It cuts 2″ ridged like a champ. The only knock is the safety switch is a little awkward to push and pull trigger at same time. Maybe I just have small hands.

I use all sorts of products in the M18 line and some of the corded stuff at my regular job. I also have a ton of personal M18 tools as well I have only had one problem with a trigger on a saw but it was replaced without questions. The only complaint I have is sometimes the prices are a little more then I would like but you get what you pay for when it comes to tools.
