Had put this against my corded milwaukee bandsaw. Was very dramatic. Literally less than half the time on every cut made. Double trigger gets irritating but that’s the only negativity i have towards this

Looked at several players and went with Milwaukee. Really didn’t need the Deep cut but figured I would take that route as future-proofing needs and figured this was the top-of-the-line unit. One let down for sure is that in the pictures, reviews you see on the internet, and pictures on companies sites that sell this unit show metal drive wheels for the saw band. Well… the 2729 obviously was recently downgraded to polymer drive wheels, anyone reading this review and looking at this saw, may wind up with your new saw with Polymer wheels. The polymer wheel are on other models of their saws so i’m sure it’s fine but would think the metal wheels hold up better with time. Perhaps that’s the goal… more repairs. I would love to see pictures at least updated with the poly wheels showing so people know what to expect rather than bait and switch.

Mostly cut copper tube and strut with the M18 deep cut bandsaw and it cuts like butter. Have used it on cast iron, 1/2″ thick steel plate and so much more. It is nicely balanced to help make straight cuts (not so straight for the young buck, but in time). Thinking about buying another one for around the house
