I’ve had several of these. The bandsaw with the push button un/lockable safety, 5 star. If you have the spring safety that you hold to start, 4 star. Both cut with ease, the saws weight will cut for you. If your on ground floor using 2 hands, either work great. But if you work in awkward areas where you make 1 handed cuts(like while hanging over the side of a wall or hoistway) make sure you have the un/lockable safety button.

I have used this product in many different applications from cutting sewer pipe to cast iron pipe and copper pipe. I’ve cut angle iron and ready rod for hangers and it has powered through all of it with ease. I highly recommend this tool. But be careful with it. It could easily take a finger or two if you are not using it properly.
