Saw works well. My only gripe is when I saw a narrow cut. It is easy to get the lumber stuck between the blade and the blade guard. Only takes a few cuts to get the hang of it. It seems, at first, that the saw loses power but the lumber wedges between the guard and the blade. A slight learning curve for me. The saw has a built in hanging bracket that I find extremely useful when on a ladder or up in the rafters. I have several FUEL tools and all are excellent. Well made, durable and very good battery life.

I love it but, for some reason the triggers go out about 6 months later

I love this saw! It ships from Milwaukee with a carbide blade which is always great to use and it’s lightweight enough to use overhead for things like cutting rafter tails, but doesn’t sacrifice any power. The built-in LED work light is a nice feature, and turns on when you depress the safety switch before activating the blade trigger so you can line your cut up perfectly before the blade moves. Runs great with a 5 amp hour battery, but I usually use an 8 amp hour. You could go as high as the 9 amp hour, but I can see weight being a bit of an issue if working for extended periods with that or the 12 amp hour. The handle hook is also a nice feature when working in open framing, but stays nice and tucked out of the way when you don’t need it.There are two areas of improvement I see for this saw, but neither are deal breakers by any means.First: the allen wrench that the saw comes with ti change the blade has a little holder that it can store on the saw with, but it’s kind of loose and can become dislodged over time. A simple fix for this would be to put a small retaining magnet or maybe a little tighter plastic holder that would be akin to a bit holder on some drills.Second: On the top right side of the blade guard, the saw has a handy guide with various ticks cut into the guard used for precise measurements when setting your plunge depth. Unfortunately, the edges of those tick marks have a bit of an edge on them which can be a knuckle scraper from time to time. I haven’t experienced it, but my coworker had some scraped knuckles after using it for a day. If you wear work gloves while using it, it’s not an issue, but depending on the size of your hands and grip, your mileage may vary. Both are relatively minor complaints in the scope of normal work, but are the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars. All in all, I definitely recommend picking this saw up!

I’m a DIY, I bought this saw with a bit of hesitation but honestly once I fired it on a 2×4 I was really impressed by it’s cutting power. I was eager to complete the job, I made a garage shelves and a dog house both made of 2x4s and 1/2” plyboard. It performed flawlessly for me, before I bought this saw I used a Makita worm drive but it was too much saw for most of my projects. Hopefully this saw lasts me for years to come. I will say that you want 2 batteries, to eliminate stalling during a project. I may buy the 7 1/2 saw just cause.

This saw hs worked out great for me. Ive had it now for over a year and it works like when I first got it. Works great with a 5ah and above battery and it goes through any lumber I’ve put in front of it. Its an absolute beast. I have the other milwaukee saws but this one i always go to because its compact and gets the job done. I havent had any over heating issues and I have even cut metal with it many times with a metal blade. If this one ever goes out Im definitely geting another one. Its paid itself and then some. Its got plenty of power and hardly ever bogs down even at a full plunge cut

As a roofer it’s been a great asset. It’s lightweight and not dealing with a cord is a big help. The battery life has been great as well.

Light enough for all day use. Need to upgrade to bigger amp battery for longer use but for the deal I got for the saw, bag, blade, charger, and 5amp battery I won’t complain.Did not take long for me to get used to the blade being on the left from the motor. I am able to see my line way better than when blade is on right. Using a saw wether it be a hackzall, sawzall, or circular saw, I was always uncomfortable. I found out only a couple years ago that I possess carpentry skills that I use for myself and a handful of homeowners I remodel for. Considering myself only a beginner in the trade but I feel like a pro from the comfort level it puts me at.Already testing it’s durability by using it on a shed where I’m installing James Hardie HardiePlank Cement Siding using a Kingthai 5in. Turbo Rim Diamond Blade. So far I’ve finished the job and we continued on to a couple new projects!Highly recommend the blade of left of motor for all users especially beginners. If I knew this years ago,…..who knows what I would had built or remodeled by now!
