The Milwaukee M18 FUEL brushless cordless circular saw was designed for carpenters, remodelers and general contractors that rely on durable and dependable tools. This rechargeable battery powered circular saw delivers the same power and cuts faster than a 15 Amp corded saw, delivers up to 750 cuts per charge. The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor was purposely built for the M18 FUEL 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw to provide the power and performance of a 15 Amp corded circular saw. Built-in REDLINK PLUS Intelligence ensures optimal tool performance and provides overload protection to prevent damage to the tool and battery during heavy applications while still maintaining compatibility across the entire M18 System.

I finally took the plunge and went cordless.This is a great saw. My advice is that you should get as much saw as you can afford, it will last longer long term. My last saw (corded) has lasted for 25 years and is still going strong. I use the corded saw for tough jobs like cutting concrete pavers. I do not think I would use this for cutting concrete pavers. But it does rip through dense wood like butter. Yes, its true, this eats batteries faster than Donkey (from Shrek) eats sweets, so be prepared to have a few lying around and charge them overnight. I am giving it only 4 start because it does not come with a rip fence. Whats up with that?

This is the best skillsaw I have ever used hands down.I love the fact that as soon as I release the trigger there’s a brake that stops the blade almost instantly, makes the job so much safer putting the saw down.Easy to adjust depth and angle which makes everything easier when doing certain depth cuts or angles when I don’t have a table saw.Love the M18 series!

I may never use a corded circular saw again. I have been using the 6.5″ cordless circular saws from Milwaukee and Dewalt for years and while they do a nice job they always felt like they were struggling to power through. This saw has the perfect weight and balance and starts and stops smoothly. My first outing was to cut a large number of plywood sheets into pre-set squares and rectangles for a school project. Put in a new plywood blade and got through all 100+ cuts with plenty of juice left on my XC8.0 battery. Second use was cross citing 2x6s and 2x8s, and no issue there either. I would certainly recommend making the leap if you are in the market for a cordless circular saw.
