I’m 100% an average homeowner trying to do it myself and learning with all Milwaukee M18 tools. I found the 7 1/4 on a special buy for $250 which was a no brained 6 months ago. I used it for my laminate wood flooring 1st floor, full basement next, and completed 150 prices of baseboard and trim mounding. The saw was easy to learn and operate with angled and miter cuts. It can function on a lower m18 battery but just don’t push it when running low. I wish I would have put a fresh blade on soon lee fir the door trim 90 cuts. Love it and I can bring it in the woods this summer to build a nice warm blind in cold WI.

I was a little hesitant on going down to a 7-1/4 inch but figured I would give it a try. My primary miter saw is a 12 inch Dewalt and Inwas looking for something more moble and that I did not have to worry about power or tripping breakers. This saw did not disapoint. My main considerations were 1) Dust Collection and 2) Portabilty 3) Capacity. I am using this for 2×4, trim, wainscoting. After making about 200 cuts in 2×4 the 5.0 HO battery still showed 3 bars. I shadow line and ability to switch that on seperate from the blade is awesome. Dust collection with just the bag (no vac) is really good for a miter saw. I have not tried with a vac and probably will not in the next few months and would except it to be better. The saw has great handles and is extremely portable.

Very impressed! I replaced my DeWalt 10-in miter saw with this 7 1/4 compound miter saw. This saw is absolutely amazing! Love the power with the number 12 battery I can use it all day long cutting trim and making trim boxes and still have battery left! I love the light with the line to know you’re getting an accurate cut every time. Unfortunately mine needed a 16th of an inch adjustment from the shop. This is my only complaint is that the Milwaukee saw should come exactly perfect on the gauges and they need some customer service to make sure you can pull the saw out of the box and use it without adjusting it. For someone who doesn’t use these full-time they will have a difficult job doing so. I think this is a faulty engineering And overlook on Milwaukee’s part. They are an amazing company and this saw is some of the best technology that’s out there! Unfortunately like my table saw nothing was adjusted to true I had to adjust everything myself. For this I give it a 4 rating not anything to do with the performance or the overall power of the saw it deserves more than a 5 because it’s amazing! I feel it’s completely unacceptable for Milwaukee to let products come out that are not perfectly cited in from the factory! For being such a great company this attention to detail really bothers me! Unfortunately DeWalt you can pull any saw out of the box and cut with it perfect without adjusting any of the gauges! This is a better made miter saw than the DeWalt but unfortunately you let it leave the factory incomplete please step up your game and tighten up your professionalism on your saws! They are amazing products they just need to come from the factory set perfectly!

Nice compact saw and the size is great for me. I’m using it to trim a house. The issue with the saw is it isn’t built ridged enough. It doesn’t take much to push the saw head around when locked left to right. Mine starts the cut then the blade moves over .010. The cut is perfectly square except for the first 1-1/2 on a 1×6 MDF. I’m using a new diablo blade made for trim. I’m going to try a Dewalt 60 tooth blade and see if its the blade and not the machine. My guess is it’s the machine. It’s just not heavy duty enough. It is good enough for paint quality trim work but it would never work for top notch wood trim or furniture woodworking.

This saw is very easy to use, light weight and very well made. Much easier to manipulate than my 12” corded saw that probably won’t be used much!

Am very happy with this saw. The saw was square out of box I purchased some diablo blades before my saw came in. its real nice to have a small portable saw that can can take wherever you need for any job or project. I’ve only had it a couple weeks i like that it has the shadow line ,I have plenty of batteries. Will update my review after having it longer

I am a DIY homeowner, and novice builder. Bought this saw as I am invested in the M18 battery platform. It is my first miter saw.Ive used it on a few projects so far and it has surpassed my expectations. Most cuts have been PT wood to build shooting benches and outdoor tables. It will cut through a 4×4 PT post in three cuts. Power isnt an issue. Blade size was the determining factor. I knew that when I purchased the saw.It cuts quickly and clean, with the dust collection being a huge benefit. Ive built two shooting benches off of one 6.0 HO battery. Used two bars so far. If you have a collection of M18 batteries and need a miter saw for “smaller” work, I can not recommend this enough.

Great versatile saw. The only problem we had was adjusting the miter so it cut exactly vertical, but that was easy.
