The price is high but there is no other saw like it for me, very convenient. The reason I got this was because of the terrible Tennis Elbow (Lateral Epicondylitis) I had in my left arm, and starting in my right. As a carpenter hauling around the big 12 inch dewalt slider compound was very painful .Given I haven’t used this on a big project ,the test is coming soon, but on the small remodel I worked on recently it worked great. I’m so used to a slider, I had to have a saw with one. On the next big job when and if I need the 12 inch i’ll take it then and leave it at the job site until the project is done, even then i’ll only set it up if needed for certain things.

Just another M18 Brushless product that doesn’t disappoint. I had to slightly adjust the the lockouts on the miter gauge, other than that it was great out of the box. Changed blade to a 60 tooth version and it’s perfect. I have yet to burn through a 5.0 amp battery with it.

Nice compact saw and the size is great for me. I’m using it to trim a house. The issue with the saw is it isn’t built ridged enough. It doesn’t take much to push the saw head around when locked left to right. Mine starts the cut then the blade moves over .010. The cut is perfectly square except for the first 1-1/2 on a 1×6 MDF. I’m using a new diablo blade made for trim. I’m going to try a Dewalt 60 tooth blade and see if its the blade and not the machine. My guess is it’s the machine. It’s just not heavy duty enough. It is good enough for paint quality trim work but it would never work for top notch wood trim or furniture woodworking.

Description doesn’t mention the shadow technology that is better than a laser. It uses lights to show the blade shadow on the material. It shows both sides of the blade so you can cut from both directions easier. Great saw. Light and cuts through 2×4 with ease.

Really solid machine. Sturdy and compact. Blade brake and dust collection is very good. Light is bright but not so accurate so you have to get to know where the blade is going to make the cut. Like the fact that it has the slide and double bevel. Cyber Monday deal for $249.
