I also have the 10″ 9amp cordless and this is way lighter. Power is great for basement framing and trim. Not sure how it will do on pt decking materials, but overall it has worked out great. I love that it is so much lighter, it makes moving it around so much easier that the larger version. Battery life is great with high amp batteries, but not as good with the smaller old batteries.

Awesome little saw. Battery life is amazing. Put a 60T Diablo blade (the normal holiday special 2/$20) on it and it cuts beautifully. Shadow line instead of laser. Great buy for the saw and battery kit for $250 on Cyber Monday.

Bought this to do trim work in a couple.of.basement jobs. Much lighter that the 10″ battery version. Good power even through 2x material. Standing 3 1/4″ trim hits the motor on the handle side which is a little bit of a pain and takes some time to get used to. Pretty happy with it and love the lower weight for.portability. battery life is great with even a 5amp battery. All day with a 9 amp with plenty of power.
