I have not used the saw yet. However, I am quite familiar with the brand as I have many of it’s tools as well as the heated jacket and every tool has performed to perfection.

With modern batteries larger cordless tools like Miter Saws and Table Saws are now game changing, especially for DIY/Hobbyists without dedicated shops. I find it very convenient to just grab a battery put it in and get cutting, and being able to take it anywhere inside or outside the house without dealing with cords. With a larger battery like 9 or 12AH you can get a lot of cuts on this saw, but even with a smaller battery you can get plenty for small projects. I’ve cut everything from Wenge (a very dense hardwood) to pine (a soft wood) with no trouble.

Watch a lot of videos complaining about issues with this saw. Using it side by side with a corded Hitachi, I can tell you that yes, it sounds like it has less power. However, it still cuts perfectly. In fact, the Milwaukee with the same blade as the Hitachi, as in, I make a cut with the Hitachi, put that blade on the Milwaukee, then make another cut, will produce a noticeably smoother cut on the end grain. All of the miters and bevels are accurate, no head wobble, fills the dust bag. I love it.One you get past the false idea that a slightly slower blade spin is a problem, and you see all the benefits and convenience of it, you realize it’s a great saw. Concord Carpenter has a good video review of this saw if you want to see it in action.
