Over the 25 years of being a finish carpenter I’ve had several different jigsaws, craftsmen,Bosch,…. this Milwaukee is far above the Bosch barrel grip that I had and the fact that it’s cordless ,bonus.I had gotten the 12 volt Milwaukee it’s ok but the 18 is two thumbs up.

This tool is powerful but fairly big and heavy.Nevertheless it has become one of my “go to” favorites!!!I really like the automatic feature which mines how hard needs to work when cutting various materials.

Excellent quality as always with Milwaukee. This jig saw palm grip is fantastic. Very easy to control for straight cuts as well as scroll cuts. Perfect tool.

This saw has plenty of power but I didn’t realize when I purchased it that there is no speed control trigger. This is my first barrel grip. It’s solid but the separate start and speed controls makes it awkward to use.

We’ve been asking for it, and Milwaukee listened. I was so excited to get my hands on this new saw as I was hoping it would makes cuts quickly and smoothly, it’s even better than I thought. Firstly, its built very well. Extremely heavy duty saw that will hold up to the most extreme environments. The over mold grip feels great in the hand, but they placed it around the whole top half of the saw. They also added a nice grooved area where you can palm grip it to really make some tight cuts. I also love that the pit two little finger indentations for the thumb and pointer finger. (Can be used with left or right hand)The saw is longer thank the D grip saw, but it has a much lower profile. That being said, the only real issue I have with this saw is that there was no place to put the bevel release lever, so you need to remove the shoe protector and loosen the bolt like the old school saw. They did include a wrench that is hidden in the back of the saw, but it does take a a bit longer to change cuts. That being said, the detents are nice, and set up for the most popular bevel positions. As for power , it’s a monster. You can blast through anything you put in front of this saw. The orbital action is crazy powerful, and will eat through wood like its hungry for it. There is also an adjustable speed knob that allows you to set the speed to whatever you need, but by far the coolest thing this saw offers is the auto mode. On the dial the is ans (A). When you push harder, or cut harder material, the saw automatically adjust the power it needs to make the cut. This also really helps when starting a cut as it will begin slowly and rev up once the line is started. Another very cool feature on this saw is the on and off switch. There is no trigger, just a slider on the left and right side of the saw which will turn it on when you slide it up. It takes about a second to turn it on for safety, but shuts down immediately when you push down on it. Again, this is on the left and right side of the saw.All in all, it’s just an awesome tool. I really wish they would have found an area for a bevel release lever, but other than that, its simple awesome.

The Best Jig Saw yet. Dust blowout feature a plus especially when cutting out pre installed pocket doors. Thumb on/off switches make it easy to maneuver in either right or left handed situations. Variable speed dial easy to adjust while in use. Easy angle adjust feature as well. More power than the M12 version and still light weight with the 3.0 battery. Wood & metal workers jig all day long…. No brainer when choosing a jig saw.. Red lithium tech protects tool from over heating. NOTE: Can also be used as a muscle massager with custom made golf ball attachment, without the 500.00 price tag of a trendy way over priced muscle massager. What are you waiting for? Pick one up today..

This barrel grip jigsaw provides better control than a jigsaw with a standard handle, but the ON/OFF slide switch is too far of a reach to operate one handed. There are better barrel grip jigsaws out there, but, if you’re invested in the Milwaukee cordless system, this will get the job done.

Great saw. A bit more difficult than it needs to be to insert blades and set the straight.

The on off switch takes some getting used to, but so does growing old…. flipped over to cope joints it is still easy to use… It comes with a plastic shoe cover so you don’t need to tape the shoe if you’re concerned about scrape marks on a finished surface… Not being tethered to a cord increases the versatility of it… Balance with a 5.0 battery in it seems perfect…

I needed a jigsaw added to my tool collection and I am very impressed with this one. Did a few small projects. Cutting was a breeze with great control to make precise, tight fitting cuts. Tons of power, could not bog this thing down. Only thing I miss is a lazer blade guide like the Ryobi I used to use, but there is plenty of visibility with the LED light.
