The M18 FUEL Cordless Brushless Barrel Grip Jig Saw combines power, blade speed and precision, to provide the highest quality cuts in a wide variety of materials. The M18 FUEL D-Handle Jig saw leverages the POWERSTATE Brushless Motor and REDLINK PLUS Intelligence to provide higher blade speed than corded jig saws at 3500 strokes per minute for clean controlled cuts with minimized chipping or bucking. Leveraging the M18 REDLITHIUM XC5.0 battery the M18 FUEL D-Handle Jig Saw provides up to 105 linear feet of cutting in laminated particle board, delivering all day productivity with less trips to the charger. The saw features tool-less blade change, tool free bevel adjust with detents at 0, 15, 30, and 45 as well as an LED light and on/off blower to keep the cut line visible while cutting.

I’ve only used this saw a little bit (weather is slowing my project completion) but I generally like it. It’s much heavier than I expected but that’s not necessarily a show stopper. I was not expecting a slide switch for on / off and would probably prefer a trigger but also not a show stopper.I have yet to find the 4mm hex wrench allegedly stored in the show to adjust the bevel but I have my own.

This saw is EPIC!!!!!!! Often i have to Jury-rigg tools or terminator terminating devices. I just smack my M18 HD20 in their with a laser blade and im GOOD to GO. I cut through all types of metal all types 800s 1000s you name it. I highly recommend!

This jigsaw is pretty awesome, another great product from Milwaukee. This is my first barrel grip jigsaw and I was a little concerned that I was not going to like holding the jigsaw like that but boy was I wrong. Milwaukee has made the handle so comfortable to hold on to and the on/off switch on either side of the jigsaw is a great touch. The saw has multiple settings for cutting speed and i really love the “A” setting that automatically adjusts the speed of the saw blade when you start cutting into your material. Has a blower built in to remove debris from your cut or can use the included section for hose attachment to vacuum the dust away. The LED light on the front is great to see your cut line. I highly recommend this saw and think the pros of this saw easily outweigh the minor cons. The blade replacement is super easy with just a pull of a lever. I would say the only downside to this jig saw is that the battery placement limits you to probably no more than a 5ah battery. But to be honest that is not that big of a deal because I doubt you will come across a situation where you would need to cut with a jigsaw longer than a 5ah battery would last. Also the jigsaw is a little heavy which is great for controlled cuts but if you have to make multiple cuts it might wear your arm down a little. Otherwise I think Milwaukee really knocked it out of the park in this one. Great jigsaw from a great company.

I do not have enough good things to say about the Milwaukee line of cordless tools. I own a small remodeling company and use my 12 volt and 18 volt sets daily. They have always performed very well and have never given me any problems. The 18 volt jig saw is no exception. I have not even pulled my corded saw out of the trailer since I recieved the 18 volt jig saw. In my opinion it out performs the corded one in ease of use and power. It has multiple added features that also make it very easy to use, change blades, and change table angle. All in all it is a very solid tool and will last me quite a while under the strenuous use that they are subjected to.

Have used this quite a bit. I already owned Milwaukee tools and had the M18 batteries. My only issue is sometime on the blade replacement, if you dont get it just right, the blade will not lock in and be crooked, but all in all, good tool

Works great, very high speed when you turn the dial all the way. Fairly big More of a two handed heavy duty tool, doesn’t fit into tight spaces, has a good light on front and an option to hook up a vac or dust trap. Easily fits a 5.0 redlithium easily cut out a channel in the back of my cabinets

I have an ongoing bathroom project so I needed a jigsaw to cut a round hole in the subfloor for the toilet. So I ordered the Milwaukee M18 fuel brushless,cordless, Barrel grip jig saw at Home Depot. When I opened the box and saw the jigsaw for the first time. It was a very impressive tool. In the Box it came with a t-shank saw blade, anti-splinter guard, transparent blade cover, dust collection attachment, LED cover, an Operators manual.I used the jigsaw to cut the circle out of the plywood for the subfloor. This jigsaw has so much power and with the 4 position orbital action selector lever you can change how aggressive the saw cuts. This jigsaw also has a feature when you are cutting, it’s called blower shuttle. It has a switch on the right side of the saw where you can turn it on or off. It blows the cut material away from the line that you are cutting. When you use the blower shuttle in combination with the built-in bright LED light you get Superior cut lines. This is another Plus in my book.This jigsaw also comes with an onboard storage for the hex key to adjust the angle on the shoe. That means you won’t lose it or you don’t have to look everywhere for it. That worked out for me. The shoe has 4 detents notches in the middle of the shoe so you can make 0, 15, 30, and 45 degrees angle cuts. It comes with a plastic shoe cover so you don’t Mar or scratch the surface that you are cutting and it snaps on the bottom of the shoe easily. I must say this jigsaw is a little on the heavy side with the battery attached. But I believe that is a good thing because sometimes when you are cutting certain materials the saw Will want to Buck on you so I think the weight will tame that problem down.The Ambidextrous power switches are perfect for this saw. You can cut the saw off and on the left or right side. But I really love the keyless blade change when you pull the lever the tool spits the blade out. I can’t tell you how many times I have burnt my fingers pulling hot blades out of the jigsaw. That won’t happen anymore with this jigsaw.When I used the 6 speeds control on the saw it helps me make better cuts. When I tried the A setting on the speed control it starts out slow and ramps up to full power. This feature helps me to get my cut started right on the line I want to cut. The saw comes with black diamond shape rubber over mold that gives me a good grip on the top of the saw and the top of the barrel body and the saw measurements are 11-1/2″ L x 3″ W x 7-1/2 H .I want to let you know the dust collection tube that comes with the saw you will have to buy an adapter to connect to your shop vac hose.I have been waiting for somebody to make this saw my whole life and Milwaukee did it. I give this jigsaw 5 stars this Milwaukee jigsaw has everything you need power, durability, Precision cutting and a 5 year manufacturer warranty. I believe I purchased the best jigsaw on the market for the money

I have had this saw for almost a month and have used on the job and at home. I found it to have great control, as I had to cut into a mcc cabinet door for an HMI touch screen. The size of the square hole was a 8″x12″ and in a molded fiber enclosure. It cut with ease and didn’t chip or splitter the fiber door while maintaining a straight line. It cut with very little vibration or bounce during the cut allowing for stability and greater concentration while cutting. It is definitely a great addition to my Fuel collection! No regrets getting this tool!

this jig saw is the best that milwaukee has done i do outdoor furniture and this jigsaw has made it easier and faster to cut my armrests out of 2×6 lumber and the automatic setting is a great idea no need to be messing around with finding the right setting it does it automatically i definately recommend it to anybody it sturdy very well made it certainly made my life easier and faster.
