The M18 FUEL 7 in. Variable Speed Polisher is the world’s first cordless full-size rotary polisher. By harnessing the power, performance and run-time of M18 FUEL technology, this tool delivers corded performance that allows users to power through the most demanding applications. At more than 1 lb. lighter than corded, and the ability to deliver total control through a variable speed dial and trigger, the new M18 FUEL Polisher frees users from the extra work, distractions, paint damage, and inconvenience caused by cords. Paired with M18 XC 5.0 batteries, the M18 FUEL Polisher can complete a full size car on 1-charge when working on moderate to good paint. The M18 FUEL Polisher is equipped with a rubber over mold front housing to protect the paint from scratches in use as well as a removable dust cover to protect the motor and electronics from wool fibers and residue. The new tool is designed to distribute more of its weight over the pad, providing natural pressure on the surface area and more. Includes 1 M18 8.0 Ah Battery.

So nice not having a cord!

Awesome for polishing my boat. Works great at removing oxidation and discoloration. Batteries drain out after about 30 minutes of use so it’s good to keep one charging if you plan on working several hours.

I bought this specifically for the boat. Every springtime it’s a full process of busting out the Presta or Meguires cutting cream and buffing out the oxidation and then following up after with the Presta ultra polishing cream or Meguires High Gloss polish. It’s a lengthy PITA process with cord and plug. No more taping cord ends together, no worries about snagging the cord with the buffer. I’ll never have to hold the tool cord just right because it has a short in it.I’ve been very happy with it, HOWEVER….it will go through 5.0 batteries like candy. I went through 8 full charged batteries for 1 side alone. Don’t think your going to get by on just a battery or two. I’d recommend this tool only unless you have quite a few batteries and chargers on hand to keep going. I like the variable speed, it handles well. Only concern is the trigger at times feels cheap/weak in engaging, like it catches an edge. I know Milwaukee has my back on this so I’m not too concerned.I kicked the idea of getting the M12 polisher as well, but my M12 drill works just fine for those tight spots. If you got a boat, and have batteries..excellent. You won’t be disappointed. Cheers

Polisher worked very well and would recommend to restore heavily oxidized paint on tractors and other heavy equipment.

Random Orbital polishers are superior for compounding and polishing. They work the chemicals for a better longer lasting finish. However, you will be surprised at how nice this 7 inch cordless polisher feels in your hands and the ease of operation it yields. 4.5 Stars!

Finally a battery powered Variable Speed Polisher! Great for working on boats especially when you are doing the hull when the boat is in the water. No worrying about dunking your electrical cord in the water. Tool is well made and well balanced. You will likely need the M18 High Demand batteries.

Another winner from Milwaukee! Milwaukee has done an excellent job of engineering. There is a switch lock; the handle can switch from left to right; and easy wheel lock for easy changing of wheels; variable speed; and the handle is padded among other things. It is just a bit on the noisy side, but does the job incredibly well. I waxed the vehicle and polished it with clean towels. Then I turn the polisher loose on it and the appearance was stunning. It seemed as if you could see 20 feet into the paint. The polisher was used on a vehicle 4 years old with a metallic clear coat deep red finish. Simply stated – a beautiful enhancement of a nice original finish. I took a wax job into an entirely new dimension.

I use rotary buffers for cars and for polishing airstreams. I recently had an old corded unit fail so I gave this a try. This buffer would be great for a mobile detailer or a home car enthusiast, it is great to cut the cord, but it cannot replace a 10A or 12A corded unit if you need to do some heavy work. Claiming that it has 10A power is simply untrue. The max RPM of this tool is 2000 RPM, corded units max out at 3000-3500 RPM depending on which model. When polishing a heavily oxidized Airstream I went through 2 8-amp hour and 4 6-amp hour high output batteries to polish a 3’ x 2’ patch. With the before mentioned batteries It will only run at full power for about one or 2 minutes before the battery throttles the tool back. And the batteries listed only powered the tool for 6 to 8 minutes each. 4 18v battery chargers were no where near enough to keep up with the tool in heavy use. Using a traditional Makita 10A I could polish the same area in 1/2 or 1/3 the time of this tool. I have bags and bags of m18 and m12 tools and I wanted this to work, but since I often need buffers for heavy applications This just was not strong enough for me. If you want a sweet cordless buffer for light work, this would be great, but if you want a work hoarse, this tool just isn’t there yet.

Amazing tool! Battery time was a concern, so I paired this with two 9ah batteries. Ended up with about 4 hours of restoration work.Would definitely suggest this tool for correction/restoration. Speed settings are perfect. Just be careful, it is a rotary polisher.

Excellent performance! Larger batteries work best for extended work times. I used 8.0 and 9.0 along with a fast charger and was able to work all day polishing aluminum on a semi.

The Milwaukee cordless 7in variable speed polisher with M18 18-Volt FUEL lithium-ion batteries and of course brush-less technology is a must for any detailing project you have. This tool is very well balanced, light weight (less than 6.5lbs) and no cords to get tangled on or in what your working on. Complete control for what ever your project needs are with with your choice between the side handle or the full bail handle. Select the proper speed for your project, from 800rpm – 2000rpm. All in all another well made Milwaukee tool that will last you a lifetime. Highly recommend this tool to everyone,

Fantastic tool, quick shipping, no regrets. You definitely also want the M12 polisher to go with this. The M18 is great for the big open areas, and it’s hard to beat the M12 in the tighter spots, or just to work on trouble spots. Very happy with my purchases.

I am not a professional detailer and was told that I should avoid rotary polishers and simply stick with a dual action. Didn’t take that advise and went with the Milwaukee Fuel. After washing and claying I was able to take out 2 semi deep scratches where they are not noticeable anymore. I really like not having a cord. Battery was good too. Did a polish and wax with one charge though I waxed by hand in the more narrow spots.
