The M18 FUEL 7 in. Variable Speed Polisher is the world’s first cordless full-size rotary polisher. By harnessing the power, performance and run-time of M18 FUEL technology, this tool delivers corded performance that allows users to power through the most demanding applications. At more than 1 lb. lighter than corded, and the ability to deliver total control through a variable speed dial and trigger, the new M18 FUEL Polisher frees users from the extra work, distractions, paint damage, and inconvenience caused by cords. Paired with M18 XC5.0 batteries, the M18 FUEL Polisher can complete a full size car on one charge when working on moderate to good paint. The M18 FUEL Polisher is equipped with a rubber over mold front housing to protect the paint from scratches in use as well as a removable dust cover to protect the motor and electronics from wool fibers and residue. The new tool is designed to distribute more of its weight over the pad, providing natural pressure on the surface area and more.

With wool pad it will only do a third of car on one battery, was expecting batteries to last longer. but overall good,

This kit comes with everything you need to get started, including two batteries, a battery charger, polishing pads, etc. Without the cord it’s easy to bring it to your car or projects out of plug in range. Also, you don’t have to worry about working around the cord. It’s got a good weight to it, but not heavy enough to tire your arm out. It also has the ability to move the hand grip around so you can reach all the spots you need to get to. The battery does last longer than I thought considering how much power this polisher has, but with the two batteries you can charge one while using the other. The RPM is changeable with a dial (it goes up by 200 RPM per click) so you can get the power you need. Great product!

I love the locking variable speed control and being cordless makes it fantastic for buffing an entire car on only one charge. Fantastic product, just wish it came with more polishing bonnets for the price.

I’ve been detailing yachts aircraft automobiles recreational vehicles snowmobiles personal watercraft for thirty years now…. for those 30 years I’ve used a 3 prong corded Milwaukee polisher with Thumb controlled adjustable speed dial…… nothing made by any other manufacturers even came close to the quality of this machine or the quality of work It produced …. if you are a Serious detailer you proudly owned this machine … that is until this cordless Milwaukee polisher finally became a reality….. I’ve been using the machine for only four days now and I can honestly say that it has made my life so much easier working up on top of giant yachts where you used to first have to set up the cord… the cord always getting in the way always getting stuck or coming unplugged… it is truly a huge Time Saver just in that sense ….like its corded predecessor the Finish that this machine produces is top notch & second to no other and again is faster to achieve with greater ease !!! ANDDD you’re not as tired at the end of a 10 hour day due to the fact that the machine is lighter and you don’t have the cords…. THIS IS A TOTAL GAME-CHANGER IN THE DETAILING WORLD !!! The maneuverability due to the much lighter… low profile …. perfectly balanced …. 2 finger trigger system and the huge difference due to the lack of cords is just amazing !! Thank You Milwaukee……

Definitely a tool for the pro detailer. With two batteries you can run this all day long. A 5 year warranty tells me it is built to last. No cord means no worries about the cord getting in the way or dragging on the paint. it let me focus on polishing. Balance is great. The weight is just right. Allows me to let the weight of the polisher do the work. Not too heavy and not too light. Really helps when reaching across a hood or on top of an SUV. I have a Toyota Highlander with a roof rack so getting to the top with two hands is difficult. With this I can just reach one hand and move it around without much effort. Variable speed range is very useful. 800 to 2000 RPM on the dial for easy adjusting. Goes to 2200 RPM but the dial shows 2000. Go in and pick this up and feel it in your hands. Its very well built. feels solid. The housing is plastic but very thick. No worries about it cracking. Comes with two vent screens. They pop off for easy cleaning. I wish my wife’s hair dryer cleaned this easily! Side ‘bail’ handle screws on left or right side. Includes a D handle but I didn’t’ use it. Would be useful if you need to lighten the polishing pad by lifting off the surface. For the true professional it won’t replace all your polishers but will sure help get the bulk of the work done with less effort. Batteries and charger are no less impressive. Charge time is quicker than you can use the other battery so no waiting. 3 year warranty on the battery is great. Power lights on the battery help if you forget how much juice is left. The long trigger is very useful. It is long enough to let me switch fingers or still reach it without straining when repositioning my hand. rounded corners make it more comfortable. All in all an excellent polisher. The best I have ever used. Even if you are a do it yourselfer it will pay for itself after 4 or 5 uses.

WOWEE!!!! THE CORDLESS 7 INCH VARIABLE SPEED POLISHER IS AMAZING. TO START OFF IT’S CORDLESS, NO MORE HASLE WITH THE EXTENSION CORD. FREE FROM HAVING TO BANG UP THE AUTO WITH THE CORD. THIS IS A FULL-SIZE ROTARY POLISHER, VERY EASY TO USE, ISN’T HEAVY AS OTHER POLISHERS, I FIND IT EASIER AND YOU HAVE MUCH CONTROL OVER IT WHILE IN USE. HAS A VARIABLE SPEED DIAL AND TRIGGER ALONG WITH THE LOCK ON/ OFF SWITCH FOR COMFORT. WHAT COMES IN THE BOX? WELL IT INCLUDES: A RAPID CHARGER, 2 M18 BATTERY PACKS, BAIL HANDLE WITH 2 BOLTS, SIDE HANDLE, A REMOVABLE DUST COVER, AND 3 PADS FOR THE STEPS OF POLISHING. I’M VERY PLEASED TO INCLUDE THAT THE CORDLESS FEATURE IS AMAZING. MAKES THE JOB SO MUCH EASIER. THE BATTERY LIFE ON JUST ONE M 18 BATTERY IS ENOUGH TO COVER A FULL SIZE CAR, BUT IN MY CASE I USED IT TO WAS MY NEPHEWS CAR AND TO RESTORE MY SUV HEADLIGHTS. IT WAS AN ENTIRE DAY PROJECT. I’VE TRIED CORD POLISHERS AND THEY ARE MUCH HEAVIER AND THE ANNOYING CORD CAN BE AN ULTIMATE HEADACHE. THIS NEW CORDLESS POLISHER IS SO MUCH MORE CONVENIENT AND EASY TO USE. IT’S HEAVY DUTY AND FEELS VERY SECURE WHILE USING THE BAIL HANDLE ATTACHMENT. ANOTHER PLUS IS IT COMES WITH THE BATTERIES. CAN CHARGE ONE BATTERY WHILE USING ONE AT THE MOMENT. I’VE INCLUDED SOME PHOTOS SO YOU MAY HAVE AN IDEA OF THIS AMAZING PRODUCT. I’LL BE PUTTING THIS USE VERY OFTEN.

This is a great kit that comes with everything you need to polish your car except the compounds, polishes, waxes, etc. It’s a good weight and easy to manuever. Comes with a straight as well as a D-type handle. A velcro backing pad as well as a wool polisher, yellow foam polishing pad and black foam finishing pad that attach to the backing pad. The hole in the middle of the pads along with the centering tool makes it easy to get the pads centered on the backing pad. The polisher handles well and the variable speed control is easy to use. It has click stops along the wheel and I appreciate that it shows the RPMs instead of arbitrary numbers like some other polishers. The variable speed trigger gives you even finer control. You should be able to use other backing pads and applicator pads if you’d want something like a smaller pad or a thicker, cushioned backing pad but the included backer and pads should do most people fine. This is a great tool to have if you run a mobile detailing business that will allow you to do jobs in places without electricity. For others it’s an enviable luxury but makes quick work of maneuvering around a car without dealing with an extension cord.My plan was to do a two-step paint correction on my SUV trying to use only the 2 included batteries without recharging after washing and claybarring my car. My first attempt failed. It’s been a long time since I’ve used a polisher so I tried to play it safe by using the polishing pad along with compound so I wouldn’t risk damaging the paint. I didn’t even get half way through the car before the first battery gave way and my results weren’t very good. The paint was too hard for this combination. On my second attempt I switched to the wool pad with my compound. To save on battery I primed the pad and spread out the compound in the area I was working on with an applicator pad by hand instead of using the polisher on a slow to spread the compound. I just used it on a higher speed to work out the scratches and swirl marks in my paint. Someone with more experience may be able to just spread the compound with the polisher in the off position but I found that a little cumbersome. Using an applicator went faster for me.After I finished with the compound and wool pad I switched to the yellow polishing pad and polish. Using the same technique of priming the pad then spreading the polish on the panel I was working on by hand using an applicator pad I was able to get through the entire SUV with the second battery. There might have been enough juice left in the batteries to spread the paint sealant with the polisher but I generally do that by hand.Like all new wool pads there will be a lot of loose wool that you’ll want to remove before you use it first. Using a cleaning spur is the traditional way of doing it but I didn’t have some so I just used a box end wrench.Using the right combination of pad and compound for the type of paint you’re working on to get fast results and making some changes to your process are key to maximizing battery life but the polisher is quite capable and very well made. Since I imagine mostly professionals will be using this tool, making those types of decisions and having a wide array of chemicals and pads to use will be easier.Previous owner of my car might not have been as picky about cleaning it and I had some scratches and swirl marks. I was able to do a 2 step paint correction with compound and polish to remove them just on 2 batteries. It worked very well except for some spots where I didn’t have good lighting to see my work. Next time I’ll know better. In more capable hands I’m sure the results will be better but I was quite happy with how the tool performed. The Milwaukee RedLithium batteries continue to impress me. I have a number of different Milwuakee cordless tools that I use frequently and have recharged the batteries multiple times and not one has failed. My first encounter with them I really stress tested the battery under conditions that killed other litium ion batteries I had in the past and the Milwaukee battery survived and is still working a couple of eyars later. I’m not an expert on all the different new batteries out there today but for a tool like a polisher that is run for long periods at a time as opposed to something like a drill or nailer, I’m very confident using the Milwuakee batteries with it.

after using the M18 fuel polisher I was very impressed, with the power (cordless) and flexibility (weight). I’m a novice at detailing my car, I also don’t have a plug- in outlet were I work on the car, so this machine was perfect.
