The MILWAUKEE M18 FUEL 18ga Brad Nailer delivers peak productivity at the jobsite, providing users with unmatched nailing performance without the hassle of a compressor and hose. Leveraging a nitrogen air spring mechanism, the finish nailer enables users to consistently sink nails to the proper depth in hard and soft woods while leaving clean nail holes matching the head of the nail. The combination of Milwaukee’s POWERSTATE Brushless Motor and REDLINK PLUS Intelligence delivers users with unmatched fire rate with zero ramp-up time keeping them efficient throughout their day. Additionally, the cordless brad nailer operates using Milwaukee’s REDLITHIUM Batteries (not included) and sealed compressed nitrogen to drive each nail, completely eliminating the cost of gas cartridges and maintenance associated with competitors’ nailers. The 18 gauge nailer is compact in size, and very lightweight, providing users with unmatched access into tight spaces and limiting their fatigue throughout their day. Faster, easier, most convenient tool of it’s type. Priced a bit high, $302.00 total, being a tool only purchase. Im a Milwaukee first choice man and have several 5.0 batteries available, otherwise this tool only purchase would have easily put a $500 dent in the pocket of a first time purchaser of a Milwaukee brand tool. Not cool.

I decided a few years ago that I would start buying only the best tools available as my cheaper stuff starting dying. My cheap-o corded electric brad nailer croaked i the middle of a project so I picked this one up THINKING I was getting the best of the best. I was nailing 1/4″ plywood to a wall – through drywall an in to the studs. Nearly every nail driven left exposed between 1/8 and 1/6 of an inch of nail that needed to be tapped in with a hammer. I expected better from Milwaulkee. I was using good Porter Cable 18ga nails in 1.25″ and 2″ – neither of them were driven flush. Not only that, but the gun stops feeding nails when there is only 4 left i the strip, so… wasted nails! This was all with a fully charged 5mAh battery, too. Needless to say I am very disappointed and will be returning this tool today. The only other batteries I have these days are for a Ryobi lawn trimmer so I guess I’ll try their nailer – at over 1/2 the cost!

This nail gun works perfect. Ive been working with 3/4” oak boards and it shoots the nail fast with no problem even when i double them up.

Occasionally, it is jamming. Also, it is a little heavy. Its good if you want to work for 3 or 4 hours. For a full day work, its a bit fatigue.

It’s exactly what I needed. Easy no-tool depth adjustment. The best part is I don’t have to drag a hose around and no noise from an air compressor.

The Bad: The whole ordeal with this nailer started out bad. Picked the tool up from the store and was excited for my first big trim job. Nail jammed on almost every 5th nail, virtual unusable. On top of that the nailer would also randomly fire blanks. The Good: Took the tool back and exchanged it for the exact same model. New unit worked amazing and way better than I had ever expected. Only downfall I have is that the nailer registers as empty with 4 nails in the chamber. Which to me is still better than firing one wonky last nail that I would get out of my air or firing blanks without knowing it.

I replaced a Paslode 18 gauge brad nailer with this. The paslode is a flawless product, but gas cartridges are getting too expensive and I’m slowly switching over to milwaukee. This brad nailer works well and I don’t see any reason to go back to paslode. I have ran about 2000 brads through this, so far with no issue. I have ran paslode brand, bosch, and porter-cable brads, all with no issue. If you do a lot of trim work, just buy it.
