REDLINK PLUS Intelligence is the most advanced electronic system on the market, preventing damage to the tool and battery caused by overloading or overheating. REDLITHIUM batteries (not included) deliver more work per charge and more work over the life of the pack than competitive batteries on the market. The greater versatility by delivering 0-900 RPM in Mode 1, 0-1600 RPM in Mode 2 and 0-2500 RPM in Mode 3. Auto Shut-Off Mode intelligently detects when the tool has Impacted on a fastener for 1 second and automatically shuts the tool down, reducing the likelihood of overdriving and damaging materials.

I’m a tech at a John Deere dealership. This is one of my favorite go to tools that I use on a daily basis. Powerful, lightweight and compact. Hardly ever use my air tools anymore since going cordless. This is the second one that I have owned. I tried the gen 3 version but went back to the gen 2 model. I could not tell any difference in the power at full charge between the two. The gen 3 performance seemed to diminish a lot more at lower battery levels whereas the gen 2 seems to stay fairly consistent throughout the entire battery cycle.

I bought the 3/8” impact for driving in 8” lag bolts. I thought my 1/4” hex head would not have enough power and would burn out. The 3/8 impact did it effortlessly but still got pretty warm in the process. It is also nice to have the tool around the garage for tire changes and other car maintenance.

I like the tool. Compact design, plenty of power, lightweight. But once again the socket locking ring has failed. This is the 2nd time ive had the locking ring fail. 1rst one was on 1rst gen 1/2 inch impact. Used it only to tighten 4 bolts and ring broke. Now on this 3/8 inch impact the locking jammed the socket onto the gun after just simply tightening some fender bolts on my truck. Had to use a hammer and screwdriver to get the socket off the tool. When the socket came off, the locking ring did as well in 2 pieces. Love the brand and the tools but think im gonna try the locking pin gun next time
