This is heavy duty! This is the most powerful and biggest Milwaukee brushless motor I have seen, yet is it still slightly more compact than others in the market. It has three speed ranges.Setting 1 goes up to 950 RPM with 1150 impacts per minuteSetting 2 goes up to 1500 RPM with 2100 impacts per minuteSetting 3 goes up to 1800 RPM with 2400 impacts per minuteThe actual speed is controlled by the trigger pressure, from zero to the max speed of the range. In addition, there is a nut-busting/bolt-removal setting that uses 1800 RPM and 2400 impacts per minute until the bolt turns free, after which it slows down to 600RPMIt produces a whopping 750 ft-lbs of torque. (The graph on the box would suggest that this is almost double the competition, but the y-axis does not start at zero, it has 50 ft-lbs more torque.)The ½” square drive has a strong pin detent that holds impact sockets firmly on the drive. One should use sockets that are rated for impact driving – and these generally have a hole to fit over the detent pin. There is a nice LED light that lights up the work area when the tool is in use.The kit comes with: the tool itself (2766-20), a dual M18 /M12 battery charger and TWO XC5.0 batteries (5 Amp hour) in a tough plastic carry case.I was able to undo the wheel nuts on my car with ease using setting 2.My second task with the tool was to remove some nuts from some lumber I was recycling and it handled that task easily.Next time I need to drive a bolt into a tree, this will be the tool to do it. Up to now I have had to use a long handled wrench.I am thoroughly impressed by the quality of Milwaukee tools and this is no exception. The batteries are made in Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, processing in China. They had some charge in them on arrival. The tool, charger and case are made in China.5 year warranty on the tool3 year warranty on the batteries

This is a beast. There is no comparison with air tools anymore. Just too many features. One that I thought was a little hokey at first, but I wound up loving is the setting to high hard and back off RPM when broken loose. This makes things much more controllable as you are pulling off nuts. I use this mode default on lug nuts now.The 4 modes allow 0 to 950, 1,500, and 1,800 RPM setting, plus the 0-1,800 backing to 750 when broken loose that I mention above. This last setting is new to me on this wrench. I’m not sure if this is on all GEN II Impact Wrench or just a few models like this one.I had thought that this would replace my slightly smaller and weaker M18 impact wrench. However, it looks like I will need both. This handles the torque heavy tasks, but doesn’t fit everywhere. That being said, it is the smallest wrench with this much torque available from any brand. I was doing ball joints on my truck using both as comparison. If you have a lift, this is your boy all day. If you are up on jack stands in your driveway, I could get my smaller M18 torque wrench under to remove and tighten the ball joint nut, but not this one. That is really the only negative of this wrench, the length of the body. I pulled off the hub nut with this and my smaller wrench. There was a decent difference. This broke it loose after less than half the hits. My smaller one had to hammer on it a while to get loose. I have zero complains about the battery system, and love the level indicator on the battery. Just size your Milwaukee torque wrench correctly for your use with size vs power tradeoff. And kiss those annoying air hoses good bye. This with a set of sockets and the 12V Milwaukee charger is awesome to have in the truck. Makes a tire change almost enjoyable. Thinking about welding a bolt head to the spindle on the scissor jack, to use this to got up and down. Many Milwaukee tools are expensive. But they are a good value. Buy once, Cry once, then use for a long time. They have yet to let me down, from cheap screwdrivers up to most complex power tools like this. I’m not regretting switching over to the M18 system.

Great gun,a little heavy if you’re using it all day. Using it for heavy duty truck repairs in the shop and on the road

The thing has plenty if torque! It either gets the bolt out or shears the bolt off.

What an excellent battery powered high impact wrench! It provides up to 750 FT – pounds of fastening torque, very impressive taking off lugs, more power than I expected, I would say better than my air torque. You have four modes, Mode 1 is 950 rpm, Mode 2 is 1,500 RPM, Mode 3 is 1,800 RPM, Mode 4 is for bolt removal nut busting torque. The impact wrench weighs 7.1 pounds, which is a little on the heavy side but still easy to handle and it has a brush-less motor. Comes with a charger and two batteries with long lasting power in a hard plastic case. Much more tool than I ever expected!

This is a great product!!! This impact wrench shows evidence of the highest quality, highest durability, and highest value in a battery operated power tool. The wrench is has such a smooth and responsive feel. Although not important to the functionality of the tool, the wrench has rubber bumpers surrounding the tool to help protect any surface that the tool is placed on and the protect the tool itself. The tool comes in a standard heavy duty carrying case much like other tools from the same manufacturer. The tool comes with the M18 Red Lithium XC 5.0 battery, which is one powerhouse of a battery!! The battery features a battery indicator that will show how much power is left in the battery until needed to be charged. The battery charges to 100% is a relatively short period of time. Since the impact kit comes with two batteries, you never need to worry about running out of power. The impact has a little LED on the front which helps with any low light applications. The wrench itself has several different modes for various power settings. As far as power, this wrench is a powerhouse!!! I would strongly recommend!!

Very impressed! I have only seriously used it once, but I concur with the You Tube reviews: Now that I have had it in my hands and used it, I think that It’s pretty awesome. Pros: 1) Great Torque – I should be able to remove Honda crank bolts !2) Automatic ‘slow down’ once the fastener is broken free, to aid control3) Portability (I can go TO the job, or lend it without an air compressor)4) It’s well made – feels / looks like it will lastPossible Cons:1) It is not small – if you need to get into really tight spaces you may need a 2nd impact2) Batteries should be warmed to something above -5 deg F for charging – but the charger will warn you with lights, and the battery will charge when warmed up. How do I know this =) ? Tool worked great at -5 deg F, though. I purchased from Home Depot after a careful search for the best deal on this 2nd generation High Torque impact wrench. Home Depot had the best price, and included a third battery, which I will be able to use with an additional Milwaukee bare tool. I chose between this High Torque and a smaller Medium Torque tool, figuring that neither one is small enough for REALLY cramped spaces, and I wanted capability to remove crank bolts and other DIFFICULT fasteners. My first test of this tool was an urgent auto repair in my unheated garage this a.m. before I could drive to appointments – my car is not so new, and a rear brake caliper was stuck. I had a new caliper, but doing this job at -5 F wasn’t going to be fun. The impact wrench removed wheel bolts like they were not even tight (they had been torqued to 85-100 lb-ft by me), and as they loosened it went into its ‘slowdown’ mode. No air compressor to turn on, no stiff air hose to uncoil & recoil, and nothing to trip over. I haven’t done a crank bolt yet, but others have with no issues. I’m happy with my purchase. You might want something smaller, but for heavy jobs this is the real deal.

A wonderfully powerful brushless beast that does away with the need for an air compressor and air hoses to drive an impact wrench as it unleashes controllable power that loosens stuck fasteners in no timeSlightly larger than the air driven cousins and this kit worked in all but the tightest of spaces 4-mode drive control with bolt removal mode…Bolt removal mode provides maximum nut-busting torque to break fastener free, then slows to 750 RPM for more control when removing fasteners

I use this product mainly in light automotive work. The wrench removes the tightest lug nuts with the simple push of the trigger. I have tried breaker bars and usually strain my self. It is also fantastic for removing the locking nuts on wheel hubs. No effort needed. Treat yourself to one of these tools and you will not regret the purchase.

Wow What a Powerful Torque Impact Wrench! I was able to use this with a pipe stretching adapter to expand the 14 gauge pipe an 1/8 of an inch to fit over the wood stove outlet. The Wrench was delivered in a sturdy blown case & included 2 5ah batteries an a charger. I tried to stretch the pipe with another impact wrench & was stopped died in my tracks. This had plenty of power & didn’t slow down & complain like my other impact. Milwaukee keeps putting out great tools! Buy without hesitation.

This high torque impact is a heavy duty and pro-grade powerful tool. It is a one-half inch impact wrench and not your typical one-quarter inch. It’s by far the most powerful and torquey cordless impact I’ve used. It has great ergonomics and feels good in the hand. It is large and somewhat heavy but that’s what you get with pro-grade heavy-duty tools from Milwaukee. It measures approx 11 inches tall and 8 inches long.It comes with two M18 18V batteries and a charger that also charges your 12V Milwaukee batteries. It also comes with the typical Milwaukee hard shell carrying case. The batteries have LED indicators to show the remaining charge. The impact has four settings, three with preset speeds and the fourth called the bolt removal mode which is a mart setting as it starts at high speed and then slows down once the fastener becomes loose for better control.Recommended.
