Powerful and versatile. For a couple years now I’ve been finding my light duty power drivers don’t always cut it for some of my projects. It’s really frustrating to get stalled out because either I or my tools don’t have the strength for the job. I have a friend who’s a mechanic and one of my brothers is a handy man, and they’re always willing to help me out. But I hate feeling like a pain in the neck.. They can’t always bring their mighty tools with them. I jumped at the chance to trial this, and of course I knew nothing about it. This thing is a beast! I was afraid of it, and originally thought overkill for my needs. But my mechanic friend gave me a little training session, and the more I practice the more comfortable I feel using it. Wish I’d had it for the stuff I had to tear out of the house and the outdoor equipment I’ve assembled for the kids. I did have to buy my own socket set for it, and I picked up an adapter so I can use my 1/4 inch drill driver set with it, (very cool!) I’m really loving this impact wrench. AND the boys can still come over and help me out and play with my new tool. A few things. The anvil for this model has the pin detent. I could remove the sockets easily if I didn’t line up the pin with the hole on the socket. I did not have the strength to remove the socket if it was properly placed over the pin. I discovered I could push the pin down with a tiny screwdriver as I worked out the socket and it would come out in seconds. Very easy. The second thing is the included battery charger is a bit twitchy. The battery doesn’t lock down in place. If I don’t place it exactly right, I get the green and red flashing light telling me the battery is no good. The batteries are perfectly fine. I just have to mess with it more than I would have expected from a new charger. Last, I wish there was some kind of a mode button for the level of power on the wrench. I’m worried I’ll creep up the speed unintentionally and wind up breaking something. That could be just my inexperience though. The weight of this driver is easily manageable by this 90lb weakling. As for value, I compared this with another popular impact wrench (rhymes with chiquita) and this one is comparably and often better priced across shopping web sites.

Just bought 7 of them to upgrade from the mid-range torque impact fuel for five road crews and two supervisor trucks. I have used mine to break semi lugs loose. Great tools batteries last long time. Only problem we have they don’t come with any decals, a hat or some sockets.

This is a higher torque 1100 ft lbs busting and the two 5A stronger battery for Gen II 2767-22 Kit. It has 4 mode of setting for many application so it is very worth to pay extra $20.00 over the 2762-22 kit. Great use for the Auto industry, Very versatile and great mobility use , Although it is bit heavy like many have comment, but this Beast have done many bolt removal job decently, The famous Honda crank pulley bolts, high torque lug nuts, suspension , and other rusted application, Just be carefull not bang or drop or knock too hard impact since it has electronic circuit in side the handle, I mostly just lay the thing flat on ground instead put it up right easily to kick and knock down, One more tip for bolt removal, I just leave it on mode 4 mostly which has special feature for help loosen fastener the right way, For tightening Used mode 1 to 3 depend on torque setting, I used mostly mode 2 for pretty much on many passenger car wheel lug nuts, although mode 2 torque setting is around 250ft lbs, but you just don’t hold the trigger too long it will be fine! I check the torque setting with hand torque tool , is around 90 ft lbs. I highly recommend this tool even you use it few times per year, You will feel relieve when something came up! I did not own any other Milwaukee too, so this is my first impression on this tools, So far for a month of use without any problem ! I know there are some review about items defect and trouble , but there is 3 yrs warranty! keep that receipt record !

No need for air tools with the M18 line up. I am very impressed with the quality and power of all of their tools. This impact tool is simply a beast. It pounds through any rust or tightened bolt. Batteries are pricey but outstanding power and work life.

It has four modes of operation, including a special removal mode, which provides maximum removal power and automatically slows to 750 RPM for better control once the fastener releases. The ergonomics are great and It only weights 7.1 lbs. This is truly a superior product and I’ve come to expect nothing less from Milwaukee. I am not a mechanic by any means but I prefer to do any mechanical work that I can at home to save on costs. Traditionally I would use an air wrench and while effective it can be a nuisance to deal with the hose and noise factor from the air tank. My initial concern was going to be a lack of power when compared with my old air wrench but I didn’t have any issues with removing the lugs from both my wife’s and my car when swapping the winter tires on this year. The M18 batteries seem to provide more than enough power and torque to the tool to get the job done. I am very happy with the results that I had and I just hope that the tool lasts a long while because it certainly is not cheap.
