The M18 FUEL 4-1/2 in./5 in. Grinder supplies maximum sustained power to complete the toughest grinding, surface preparation and cutting applications. The Milwaukee grinder 4 1/2″ i just purchased is a great tool. The weigh is a bit high but it is built to do what it was made for. Cutting of nails, grinding down whatever you need this tool is it. The first one I bought months ago did not work right, it kept stalling and smoking out of the box. I tried to “break” it in but no luck. No worries though Milwaukee has a great warranty. I paid nothing to send it back and I’m return got a brand new one sent to me. It works great! It is up to par with a corded grinder and nothing negative to say. Can be heavier though with a big 5amphr battery which you will need for medium or larger jobs.

Had a chance on the same morning to use this grinder and the matching corded model. I was a bit disappointed with the battery life. Went through 3 batteries pretty quickly. Switched to a corded model same grinder pad. Found that tool to have higher torque, but felt significantly heavier. For the work I was doing, the extra weight wasn’t worth the extra torque. Ended up waiting for batteries to recharge.
