I was worried that this grinder was going to lack power simply because it is cordless. My worries were completely unfounded. I am VERY impressed with not only the power, but the overall quality of this tool. It is great to have the extra battery this kit comes with for a couple reasons. First, it makes the cordless option feasible in a professional setting. Second, it is nice to have if you’re using two M18 FUEL tools at the same time. One nice feature of the battery is there’s a button you can press which tells you how much battery life you have remaining. I haven’t seen this done before on any other cordless tools.My first project with this grinder was to cut a metal electrical conduit in my back yard that was no longer in use. Rather than dig up the whole line from the house to the outlet, I just dug down a few inches where the line came up from the ground, cut the line, and replaced the grass. The grinder made quick work of the job as you’ll see in the video.I am genuinely excited about this tool. I already own the M18 FUEL circular saw and plan on getting the drill and reciprocating saw as well when the budget allows it. I make no hesitation in recommending this product.

I use this tool every day with a diamond blade for cutting concrete. I found the tool stopping in the middle of cuts after a while of cutting and it wasn’t the battery. To correct this problem I found that I had to take my Milwaukee 18 volt blower and blow out each vent, the battery connector, and the trigger, each day and this corrected the problem.

Milwaukee has created a powerful tool, that any professional should have. The quality, power, and design of this grinder have proven itself.This kit comes with 2 4.0 amp-hour XC batteries, which is a must for such a powerful tool. Highly recommend keeping both charged if completing a job that requires more that 30 minutes of continuous use. Depending on the length of the task, the battery last a while and proved to provide enough power to the brushless motor.The overall design is very ergonomic, easy to hold, and comes with a screw – on handle, which I recommend. The grinder is easy to control, either it be grinding, or sanding. Read the manual and their instructions on how to hold and you’ll be set! Its rather long compared to corded grinders, but its cordless so it didn’t bother me.The kit doesn’t come with any grinding wheels but does come with a 4.5 inch and a 5 inch guard that are easy attached. Once attached they can be moved easily on a 360 degree radius. It also contains a wrench for the nut to fasten wheels on, which made switching the most easy.Overall this is a great grinder, plenty of features, and power!
