Great product at a good price. I also own another brand 18 volt saw that is the same size. When using the same blade the Milwaukee out cuts the the other bran hands down. The saw line indicator on the frame is much more accurate. The guard is easier to control and moves back more smoothly. I also like the ergonomics much better. This will be my primary saw and the other brand will sit on the shelf as a backup.

Its funny how incredible this thing is. It comes with two batteries and a charger and a bag. Once you get this thing going you will laugh at how effortlessly it will cut through pipe. I initially set up a vice with a pipe so I could test this thing out. I thought i would need to get everything just right and then cut for a while. I simply put the pipe in the vice and it cut through it like butter. I tried several different types of pipe and it was the cleanest, smoothest, nicest cut I have seen. When you first look at the blade you cant see it happening but after you make a few cuts you totally believe it.

I received this saw for free to write this review.This is a great saw that cuts more than metal. We used it to build a dog house. It cut the plastic for the roof great as well as the plywood.A couple of things to note.-If you want to add a wood blade they are a little hard to find. This saw spins in the opposite direction as a standard wood saw. The hole size for the blade doesn’t match the 5-3/8″ wood blades Home Depot has on the shelf.-No angle cuts. 90 degree cuts only.Otherwise it is amazing how much power you get out of this saw without using a cord.

Milwaukee 2782-22 Circular Saw [for Metal]Kit comes with two 5.0 A-hr batteries, the regular [not ‘speed’] charger, a blade [5 3/8” diam, 30-tooth, 1.6 mm kerf, 20 mm arbor] for cutting ferrous metal, and a bag.This tool is among one of many new “specialized” cordless tools coming out of Milwaukee lately. Most homeowners can’t afford, or simply don’t want, a “one-off” tool; but if you do some welding, or maybe you’re an electrical who cuts a lot of EMT, install HVAC ducts, or maybe a metal roofer, this might be the tool you’ve been looking for.The saw accepts up to a 5 7/8” blade. The motor is of the ‘brushless’ type.Straight-cut, no beveling. Max depth of cut is 2″For its size, with the 5.0 A-hr battery in place, it’s got some heft. You’ll be using the front knob handle to achieve a good balance and comfortable grip.The saw is meant for cutting ferrous and non-ferrous unhardened metals. Because of its slow speed [3900 rpm], combined with the small blade diameter, it will not cut wood well; if you must, get a blade designed for wood, feed very slowly, cut only very thin materials. [But it’s definitely not something I’d recommend.]The charging station outputs 3 amps, so a dead 5.0 A-hr battery will take about 90 minutes to reach full charge. It accepts the M12 battery though it’ll charge only one at a time.The tool has a 5-yr warranty and the battery and charger a pro-rata 3-yr warranty. These terms are not “best-in-class.”The tool and charger are made in China; the battery pack is assembled in China from cells sourced from S Korea.
