I used this on one project for work. Feels good in the hands while working. I used a 5.0 battery, it worked for quite awhile and I had a spare 5.0 just in case I needed it for more time. I haven’t used the 9.0 batteries on this yet,but can’t wait to see how long they last with this grinder. I will put it through more use at home and more work projects as they come up.

Every tool in Milwaukee’s M18 Fuel line is great and this cordless grinder is no exception. It is relatively lightweight and the battery lasts forever! I love the connivence of this cordless and that even though it is cordless, it doesn’t skimp on power. Its braking feature stops the grind wheels fast and reduces accidental grinds on things you don’t want to grind. Overall, this is an excellent tool.

Tossed my cordless dewalt 4.5 grinder in the trash after using this bad boy. This tool has possibly even stole the need for me to have to pull out the cord for my dewalt 7 grinder as well (we’ll see)! . This is the Milwaukee 18v tool that started it all for me.

I was very impressed with the size and features of this braking grinder. The case is extremely sturdy and has a place for everything. I love that two batteries are included. The cordless feature is a must have on a tool of this size–much easier to use. A definite plus for when you’re working on larger projects. The instructions were clear and comprehensive. The grinder itself is definitely large. I had trouble handling it for long periods of time, but most use isn’t continuous. The handles make it easy to manipulate, but it is definitely powerful. The braking aspect is definitely helpful since my arms need a break after using it.The grinder itself came with everything necessary to complete your first project, except the grinding blade. Be sure you purchase a diamond blade before your first project.

I was a bit concerned that the M18 grinder with the 9aH battery would not keep up with the grinding I do while welding. I am pleasantly surprised that it not only keeps up with the work, it is ergonomically shaped and is easy on the hands.

Everything about this grinder is top quality. Yes it is true, I am a Milwaukee tool guy but not everything they put out do I rate highly. This grinder with the 9.0a batteries will go all day without missing a beat. So far I have cut tile and stone, cut off some metal fence posts in concrete, and cut grooves in a few chimneys for counter flashing; none of which was too much for this grinder. It doesn’t get hot with the brushless motor even after hours of use. The brake is one of the best safety features on this tool, especially when you don’t have time to wait for the blade to stop spinning on its own. The case is nice for keeping everything together. And the rapid charger is a nice upgrade. The 9.0a batteries usually charge in about an hour from fully dead. All in all this one Milwaukee got right. I would buy again tomorrow if I needed to and recommend it to anyone.

Great grinder with good run time on the 9.0 batteries cutting 20 and 18 gauge steel. Only complaint would be the toolless chuck as it Can be hard to turn off after using it for awhile and have to tap it with my hammer

I received this grinder for free to write this review.This is an amazing cordless grinder. The M18 cordless tools outperform my traditional corded tools. I would love to replace all of my corder power tools with M18 based tools if I could afford it. Having cordless power, without the cords is worth every penny.See the attached video.If you are shopping around, pay close attention to battery size. The 5 Amp Battery should be plenty for this grinder. I found I was swapping disks/blades without denting the battery. However, the 9 Amp batteries are really nice for other high usage tools. Getting two 9 Amp batteries for a little more money is worth it.Once you get this grinder, please keep it in a secure location. It is a beast that can take out a lock in about about 15 seconds. I had an old lock that I lost the key too. It was no match for this grinder.

I use a heavy duty corded industrial 4.5″ grinder for many applications these past 20 years. Cutting barsangle of steel, grinding and prepping rusted surfaces for finish work and removing stubborn painted surfaces to name a few. Several times I’ve had close calls with the power cord and had to replace it once.I was always interested in a “cordless” grinder application but till now, felt they didn’t offer enough working power and time to get jobs done right. This Milwaukee M18 Grinder Kit has changes all that! The powerful brushless motor keeps the RPM’s up, even when I’m loading down abrasive or wire wheels. With the new 9.0Ah batteries (2), I can go a few days till recharging as they always seem to outlast the finished task. The unit ergonomics are very comfortable and the lock on quick connect wheel nut makes changes a breeze. The quick response brake is a great safety feature I never had before and the kit comes in a well made and solid carrystorage case…nice! This is a well made, solidly built and professionally performing tool…just what I’ve come to expect in the industrial Milwaukee name of cordless M18 portable tools!
