This is a well-balanced and relatively light-weight powerful tool. It appears tough enough to withstand a lot of abuse and being part of the M18 family of battery-powered cordless devices is a real plus. In comparison, I have a number of Bosch and Hitachi 18-volt tools and all my M18 tools work longer with Milwaukee batteries. At its high speed rotation, I have not seen much if any wobble – both with cutters and grinders used.On the down side, there is no variable speed feature, my only reason for giving the tool 4 instead of 5 stars.Bottom line: Just the use of M18 batteries (which are the best Lithium-Ion batteries in the industry as far as I’m concerned) makes this die grinder better than the competition.

Excellent tool as always; I really love the fact that I can take it anywhere and not have to be plugged in to an outlet. Also plenty of power to get the job done.

Its a good all around tool not just for grinding but, also for cutting. Powerful, and long skinny neck make it a idea cutting tool for tight areas.

The Fuel 5.0 batteries alone go for over $100 and to get this tool and a battery for 199$. Great Value! I Have a DeWalt die grinder (corded) and this Milwaukee holds up NO PROBLEM. It’s nice having the power w/o the cord I recommend if you want to go cordless, Milwaukee Fuel series is the way to go.

This is another typical and incredible tool from Milwaukee. I had another brand of cordless tools, but recently changed over to the Milwaukee brand becuase of their high quality, durability and the sheer number of tools they have on their 18V platform. I have an air powered die grinder, but I’m limited to a 50′ radius around my compressor so I purchased this one so I can be more mobile. This is a very solid feeling tool. Milwaukee does a great job of mixing rubberized, plastic, and metal components so that the gripping areas have a nice feeling, non slip rubber material and it’s ergonomically designed to be comfortable and very well balanced without any vibration. All 1/4″ dies fit into the collet (max flap disk size is 3″, max wheel size is 2″ and spins at 20,000 rpm) and it comes with the usual metal stamped wrenches to install attachments (a 1/2″ and 11/16″ wrenches). When you get it, you have to remove the nut from the end and take out the collet which must then be snapped into the back of the nut (just read the directions and it’s easy to understand) and then you’re ready to go. This is a very quiet tool as well, which surprised me, since most of this kind of tool (grinders in general) are very loud. The motor never slowed down and even when I purposely put a heavy load on it–it just powered right through. I have recenlty purchased many new Milwaukee 18V cordless tools and I’ve been very impressed with how quiet they are, even at maximal speeds. From their cordless drills, impact drivers, angle grinders, and 6.5″ circular saw, I can’t believe how quiet these tools have become over the years. Milwaukee does a fantastic job of making what I consider to be the highest quality and most durable tools on the market. If you need/want a die grinder, purchase this one–you won’t be disappointed!

The M18 FUEL 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/4 in. Die Grinder Kit is what you would expect from Milwuakee tools. It is built with the same quality as the rest of their tools. This tool is a bigger tool than you would expect though. It is about 15 inches long and weighs about 4 lbs. The motor spins at 20,000 rpm’s. It comes with two 5.0 batteries and a charger. It is a great tool to use and you don’t have to roll up the air hose when finished. It will last about 25 min of grinding on a full charge.
