I recently just use this grinder doing a demo for a remodel where I had to cut a old piece of 4” cast iron pipe flush with the floor and the large diameter of the blade allowed me to get past the flange without much hassle. Works like a champ a true workhorse. The only con which isn’t really a con because of the price point is that it doesn’t have a e-clutch.

I use it for general fabrication and cutting thicker materials when I don’t use my torch. It has tons of power and won’t stall under load. It does go through batteries fairly quickly and 9” wheels are surprisingly hard to find

Use this grinder a lot, it’s very versatile because of no extension cords and able to switch between the 7” and 9” grinding and cutoff wheels. Best part I don’t have to string out 300 feet of extension cords.

I recently purchased a 9” cordless grinder to do some heavy work with and I was a bit skeptical at first but after 2 months of use I have put away all my corded grinders.

grinder works great I hate the guard these guards wobble while installed there not very well made for the guards or how the guards attach i was told by unicoa because there a authorized service center that its a common problem with all the grinders and if i send it to milwaukee tool myself they would of send it back and not fixed it because there nothing wrong with it so that upsets me for the price of this grinder milwaukee should of done a better job on the guard and how it attaches as well as the attachment peice is what wobbles which makes the guard wobble its a pore design and you should expect better quality from milwaukee i will be going back to my dewalt flexvolt grinders since the guards work well and don’t wobble

All great, like the title says. Don’t know how I worked without this tool. I use it practically everyday. Safety switch could be a little more easily operated. But I have gotten used to it.

In its own right, this is a great tool. Very powerful and much more convenient than corded. Especially with a 7″ blade (9″ does bog down a little bit more than my corded). However it really annoys me that Milwaukee advertises it as having the same power as a 15 amp corded grinder. I don’t know what tests they did to come up with this claim (were they testing against a corded 5″ grinder?), but it definitely falls short when used side by side with a comparable 7/9″ corded grinder.I would still recommend this tool, despite their shady marketing.

If you’re familiar with the Milwaukee M18 line of tools you know the quality they bring to the table. I have a number of them and they are consistently work horses. This one though I have to say steps up the game a notch. This think is a beast. These new batteries are awesome. This thing torques in your hand like a corded tool when you hit the switch. Take this and couple batteries and the rapid charger and you are likely to be needing rest before it does. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the safety mechanism on the switch but honestly it is pretty easy to operate as these things go. I’m just from the old school and I started using power tools when they all still had metal cases. (before the days of double insulation and the flood of safety features.) But safety features are a good thing even if they are frustrating at times. This thing will stand up to all the grinding and cutting you need just as well as a corded model without having to drag a cord around. It’s amazing how far battery driven tools have come and this one is a gem. This is the quality you expect from Milwaukee but on steroids. I’m just looking for more things to cut and grind on now. This thing is a blast to use.

“This thing is a monster”!! Those were the first words out of my husband’s mouth when he unpackaged this Milwaukee M18 FUEL 7 / 9 in Large Angle Grinder. It is a LARGE, heavy-duty, powerful angle grinder of contractor grade quality. Definitely made for big jobs. It even comes with a shoulder strap to help bear the weight. Most remarkable of all, it is cordless. It will run on any Milwaukee 18V battery. The 18 V battery supplied with this kit is big and heavy. . Unfortunately, this all inclusive kit did not come with any discs. Those ordering online need to be made aware of that. Lots of us can’t just run into town and visit the hardware store. The grinder was designed for 7-9” discs but can be used with a much smaller 4.5” disc. This is a Milwaukee product and that is where my confidence lies. We are satisfied owners of several Milwaukee products and do not hesitate to highly recommend all things Milwaukee.

I brought this for metal prep and I love it lighter than corded and the power is there. Would buy again

I used this with the cutting dust shroud to cut open a concrete slab for a basement rough-in. Being cordless I wasn’t sure how well it would do at this task but I was really surprised by the power the longevity of the 12.0 batteries. This thing is the real McCoy!

This is a large grinder for serious work. I have a smaller rat tail grinder (corded, of course) and this Milwaukee grinder makes that one look like a toy. It takes a 9″ grinding or cutting blade which can do a lot of work and can do it fairly fast. The grinder is large and uses a typical milwaukee battery. The battery does a good job of balancing the tool. It uses a typical Milwaukee charger, which has space for both an M18 battery and the smaller, triangular shaped M12 batteries. The lithium-ion battery charges fast and lasts a long time. It only comes with one battery, so you have to plan for that – either with a new battery or with the end of the day in mind. The guard adjusts easily with the push of a button on the edge. There is a lock on the trigger to prevent inadvertant use. The side handle screws into the body of the grinder, and it can be easily switched from one side to the other, depending on the user or the application. The bag is a little big, but it has plenty of space for additional blades and grinding discs, as well as “stuff” – gloves, glasses, other hand tools. I keep a complete set of jobsite extras in the bag, just because of the space available. I have a set of gloves, an extra tape measure, eye protection, a flashlight and a safety vest. There’s plenty of room for that and more.Overall, it’s a great tool with lots of power, made for large jobs / projects.

Awesome tool you can feel the power when I’m cutting through cast iron. Once again Milwaukee did not fail I highly recommend this tool!

Great performance, love the tool. Milwaukee is doing a great job in the design dept. Dont get comfortable, a grinder platform with a reversible direction of rotation (would require a spline etc. for the disc drive) would put you above and beyond. In tight quarters I would like to always be able to direct sparks away from my person, also cleaner for safety.

I needed a new cordless grinder for cutting cinder blocks, pavers, concrete, and demolition. The 7/9 inch grinder has a lot of power with the 12.0ah battery. The only thing that would make it better is somebody having a 9″ diamond wheel in stock. I’ve had to run 7″ wheels on it. I needed to cut through a concrete slab. I took the shield off and threw one of my tile saw 10″ wheels on it. It cut all the way through. A 10″ wheel sucked the battery life down fast though. I got about 15 minutes out of a 12.0 ah battery. Impressive though.
