I’ve been using Milwaukee’s corded grinder for years. It was top quality so I had doubts if they could deliver a cordless grinder that would match. They’ve done a great job here. This grinder is user friendly has tons of torque, runs for a long time with a 4mil amp battery and is comfortable tp use. Cuts stone, granite like a champ

i use grinders at least 2 hrs every day. this grinder has plenty of power. it just feels a little clunky. not ergonomic. and i hate the paddle switch. i wish they would have a regular trigger. Also the guard for some reason only has a couple positions it goes in and the position i like the most wasn’t even an option so i had to cut the little stopper off the guard or just take it off completely. i just wish we lived in a world where engineers actually used tools.

Have owned this and other similar Milwaukee models for over a year now. Overall a pretty good tool. I’ve found the best service using the 12 amp-hour battery. Two keys to the use of this tool: blade/wheel selection in relation to material being worked and when cutting through the material the operators attention to keeping the wheel aligned in the cut. I typically use my tool for cutting/slicing thru the material and use a diamond edge wheel for durability. The diamond wheel works good for hard materials such as steel. But not as good as for soft materials such as aluminum, rubber, etc. which seem to bind and clog the wheel. I believe a fiber wheel to be better for soft materials, but the fiber wheel will not last as long as the diamond wheel.Regarding maintaining the wheel/cut alignment: it is critical maintain them the same. Any misalignment or binding will immediately overload the battery causing the tool to stop and you to have to restart the tool by releasing and resetting the on switch. Overall a good and durable tool just be innovative in trying different wheels on different materials if you want satisfactory results.

The Milwaukee M18 Fuel is a High quality tool!
Marcus Ebert (verified owner) –
Typical M18 quality (very good), but the head of the grinder is too large as well as the guard, so it limits the usability of the tool.
