Cut Off Saw runs on Milwaukee’s M18 REDLITHIUM batteries instead of using gas like most traditional cut off saws. This saw delivers the Power To Cut Reinforced Concrete as well as a large variety of other metal and masonry materials. It delivers this performance while still being Up To 50% Lighter Than Gas saws that dominate the market today. By utilizing Milwaukee’s M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT HD12.0 Battery, this saw delivers No Gas Headaches. It produces no fumes so it can be used indoors, it starts up instantly, it eliminates the need to mix gas and oil and there is no gas engine maintenance. The battery will also work on any of Milwaukee’s other 200+ M18 solutions. The M18 FUEL 9 in. Cut Off Saw also has ONE-KEY integrated so users can wirelessly connect the tool with their smartphone to track and manage the tool.

As plumbers, a good deal of our concrete cutting is interior and with this saw, the exhaust is eliminated. It is powerful yet small enough to fit into fairly tight places.

I bought this M18 Fuel 9″ Cut Off Saw Kit w/two 12.0ah batteries at $599. I used it to fill in a 4’x15′ flowerbed with concrete pavers. It required both batteries and one to be charged(after it cooled down), for a total of 3-12.0ah batteries. I had no water leak into the battery compartment. It never stalled out from overheating. It is a good idea to score the pencil marks with a grinder, as the water will blow them off. It is rugged enough for the above and similar use, however abuse WILL decrease it longevity. Also good for vertical cuts, as it is much lighter than the MX platform saw or a gas powered model. I look forward to see what the future generation of this tool will be. I does not fit in any of the Packout tool boxes(even with the blade removed), but will fit in the Packout Crate. Great for DYI/residential construction uses at the $599 price. And better than using a grinder for pavers.
