The Milwaukee m18 cordless cut off saw is great. The saw comes with a Dimond blade and a meatal cutoff blade, 2 m18 12ah batteries, Blade wrenches. The saw is very well balanced and lighter in weight than a comparable gas model. The saw comes all set up to hook water up to cool the blade and keep dust down. They even give you a quick disconnect fitting for the garden hose to hook up. The saw has great power to it, just like the gas saws have. It also has a lot less vibration then comparable saws.

While we have had a cut off saw in the past, this is the first battery-operated one that we have owned. It makes it much easier to bring to the spot that you need to work rather than dealing with extension cords or a generator. The set includes not only the saw but also two heavy duty batteries. There are two saw blades, Allen wrench and hex wrench (for attaching the blades to the saw), a charger for the batteries and a quick release plug for the water coupling where you attach a watering hose. The saw is for specialty purposes but it sure makes a difference when you have the right tool when trying cut through concrete or rebar. It is well balanced in the hand and very sturdy as well as working great. It cuts through very rapidly.

The battery overhead in a couple of cuts of block its best to spend 100 dollars more on a steel that doesn’t overhead

Worked good for a small sidewalk job I needed to cut to install electric to a new light. I didn’t get the water kit and that might help with the cutting. If doing a lot you will need several batteries as this really sucks the power out. But overall I’m happy with it.

A very nice tool to use with plenty of power and very light.

Works great for the small jobs . If cutting a lot of concrete I would use a bigger saw that runs on gas are electric.

Everything you need is included – two blades (abrasive and diamond), the charger, and TWO batteries. I have many cordless tools, and this is the first tool of any kind that came with a second battery, the benefit of which is obvious. Another unexpected feature is that the charger will charge different sized batteries – so if you have other Milwaukee tools you may be able to use this charger with other batteries. The saw itself is noticeably lighter than its gas powered rivals but has plenty of power. And because it was designed with the battery compartment in the middle of the tool, it is very well balanced. Plus the battery sits in a sealed compartment which protects it from dust.

This cut off saw was a joy to work with. The first thing I noticed was it did not feel heavy in my hands (only 10.5 pounds without the battery) and was easy to maneuver around my work area. The battery is located in a closed compartment to protect it from moisture since a water hose can be connected to the unit to wet saw concrete. In my testing I used the included metal cut off wheel to cut through solid and tubular steel. The brushless motor spins the blade at 6600 RPM but once you take your finger off the trigger, the blade brake stops the spinning in about 3 seconds. This tool features Milwaukee’s One-Key system. One can connect to the tool via an app on their phone and perform a number of functions which vary by tool. In the case of the Cut Off Saw, you can blink the light to identify the tool, you can lock the tool to prevent use and you can identify location. The tool also features a load indicator light which illuminates when the tool is pressed into the work surface too hard putting load on the motor. This tool uses nine inch type 1 blades with a minimum thickness of 0.075 inches and a rotation rating of at least 6600 RPM. The arbor is 7/8 inch and the maximum cutting depth is 3.4 inches. The water connection is for a standard garden hose and the tool has an inline water shutoff valve. The maximum rated water pressure the tool can handle is 90 psi. The tool comes with two high output 12.0Ah batteries, a rapid charger, a concrete cutting and an abrasive blade for metal cutting. The one thing I think it should include but it does not is a case. On board the cut off saw is a hex wrench and scrench which are used together to tighten and loosen the spindle bolt. The guard can be adjusted forward and back a few inches with the simple pull of a handle. It is friction fit and does not lock into a specific location. During my testing, the tool easily cut through both solid and tubular steel. It was easy to let the natural weight of the tool apply the cutting pressure instead of me forcing it into the metal. It was also far easier to use a tool of this style than an angle grinder with a cut off wheel. The balance and control of this cut off machine was far better than an angle grinder. This tool is a definite must if you cut metal or concrete.

Perfect saw for doing pavers. Very light compared to using a gas one. The batteries for a decent amount of time. Would recommend a couple of extra ones if you’re cutting all day.

Cut off saw works good for what it is. Wet sawing concrete is a little much for it. It works well cutting block and landscape blocks.

This Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18-Volt Brushless Cordless 9 in. Cut-Off Saw Kit is GREAT (for smaller jobs). It comes with (2) High Output HD 12.0 Ah Batteries and a Rapid Charger, (1) Diamond Masonry Blade, (1) Metal Cutting Blade, and a Quick-Connect Water fitting. The battery compartment is sealed to keep water, slurry, etc. out, so the batter stays clean and dry. I found just a small amount of slurry on the end of the batteries after use. I used it to cut an angle on a 4 in. x 8 in. (3.5 in. x 7.5 in) slump block and to cut a 3 in. section 68 in. long from the edge of our cool deck to make room for another pad to go against it. I found that with the blade guard forward, the saw body prevented a full-depth cut. I made a full cut with it forward and then moved the guard back, tilted the saw as near vertical as possible, and made a final cut. That worked well on both the block and the slab. The pieces broke away very cleanly. I cut the block, and got through the first cut on the slab to about 56 in. on 1 battery. Finishing the slab used about ½ the charge on the second battery. The third photo below shows the saw being used to cut the slab. The fourth photo is the slab after the cut. The fifth photo shows a cut slump block (much cleaner) next to one that was chisel and hammer cut.The saw is light weight and well balanced – very easy to handle. Having used gasoline powered concrete saws in the past, I like this saw a lot. However, keep in mind that this saw is for smaller jobs. The depth of cut is 3.4 in. I would use a larger gas powered saw for larger jobs requiring deeper and/or longer cuts. As for metal, this saw would be very useful for many jobs. I don’t have any work requiring metal cutting right now, but I have used larger gas powered saws and 7 in. angle grinders with metal cutting blades for cutting up to 10 in. ductile iron pipe, cast iron, steel, angle iron, etc. With its light weight and ease of handling, this saw would be super for those jobs. Though, I have little use for the ONE-KEY feature, it’s great for contractors to keep track of their tools/equipment.

Milwaukee makes excellent battery operated tools and this cutoff saw is no exception. The kit comes with two 12.0AH batteries and a rapid charger. The saw itself is well balanced and easy to use. It comes with a quick connect hose attachment to keep water running over the cutting surface to keep the blade from overheating. The battery is in an enclosed section so you can shield it from any runoff from the hose. I have not tried it on concrete block or cement, but it made quick work of a metal post in my yard that had been used to hold a satellite dish. A safety plus – the blade brake stops the blade almost instantly. it comes with a 9 inch diamond blade and a 9 inch abrasive blade.
