The Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1 ½” Cordless Magnetic Drill Press Kit is definitely “driven to outperform” any other brand. It offers not only great performance and durability, but also a superior battery capacity. The power and speed is fantastic. I love that it comes in its own case. The drill has a super strong holding magnet base, which makes it very precise and safe to use. The Redlink Plus electronic system prevents damage due to overloading or overheating. I am so glad I made the switch to the red team. This drill press blows any other brand away. I highly recommend to anyone if in the market for a professional, high quality power tool.

There are other brands out there, but there is only one other brand that is cordless. This model is full featured, high quality and just what a professional might need on the jobsite. The ability to place and run this tool in almost any location could pay for this premium kit in just a few applications. Well, enough about the cost, it is high, but could be worth it if you ever need it. The magnetic base is strong and easy to engage, but will take two people to set up if attaching upside down on a girder or other mounting point. The tool is heavy. It comes in a quality case, but I was wishing for dolly wheels while moving it. It has a charger and two extra large battery packs and can also charge an M12 battery. There are videos on YouTube of the tool being demonstrated in the field, so I won’t try to make my own movie, but I was just impressed with the fit and finish of all the components. From the quick connect right or left side mounts for both the hand wheel and the oil bottle, everything just pops with design elegance. If I could, I would build a base in my shop and use this as my main drill press, the dovetail design is just so precise and the head can be adjusted upwards for larger bits. The only feature lacking is a light to illuminate the workspace. I can’t say enough about this Cadillac of a drill.
