The M18 Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Compact Drill/Driver delivers the most power in its class while maintaining compact size. The Milwaukee built brushless motor, REDLINK Electronics and REDLITHIUM batteries provides more efficient power delivery, for fewer trips to the charger. At only 6-1/2 in. l and 3.4 lbs. (with battery), this drill provides excellent control and balance in a compact size, perfect for work overhead or in tight spaces. This compact drill delivers 500 in./lbs. of torque and 0-500/0-1,800 RPM, for a wide range of drilling and fastening applications. An all-metal gear case and 1/2 in. metal chuck provides maximum durability.

My first Milwaukee brand power tool after buying other brands for the last 50 years. This drill is built very solid. Not as good as the tools I used in the days of my youth, but what is? Has an excellent battery life and is very powerful. The price is quite a bit higher than other brands but you get what you pay for. My last drill only lasted 3 years, not a Milwaukee brand.The chuck broke on it. I paid around $ 80 for it, should have spent more at that time and got a Milwaukee.

No baterry issues out of the box like others complained of. Both bats charged up without a problem. Used the drill once so far. Worked great. Also have the M18 impact driver with 3.0 Ah battery for about 2 years now and not a problem with that either. Only complaint is the hard case. Would rather the soft one like my impact driver came with

Product great overall. The only thing I don’t like is the switch for forward and reverse. It accidentally gets switched because of its position next to trigger.

This driver was the first Milwaukee cordless tool I owned, and served a wide variety of daily tasks, well beyond it’s intended purpose. I over-used one of these for 4 years as a stand in for a die grinder/grinder in work prepping steel repairs and engine work with a wire wheel. I have used this for almost every task imaginable, and when it finally died, I quicly replaced it and continue to have it as my go-to driver for use around home and when travelling. The fuel hammer drill has replaced it for more professional use, and does have more power for tougher jobs and hammer drill function, but this is a great quality product.

Haven’t used it much yet but, it seems like a very good drill! Just found out my brother has the same one and likes it very much! Very nice plastic case, easy to slip batteries on charger and the drill is lightweight, feels good in my hand and seems powerful. Don’t think you can go wrong with Milwaukee tools! I’m confident I’ll get many years of use from it!
