Super compact design , fits well in the hand, high torgue – great for drilling into soft wood with 1/2 inch drill and I even ran it into a few nails embedded in the wood I was drilling into. It comes with a handle so it doesn’t break your wrist when it sticks into something, like hitting a nail. The light comes on when you need it, very handy and the battery pack is huge compared to my other 1/2 inch drill. This is a good solid brand.

This is the best cordless drill out there. M18 tools always perform at least as good as their corded counterparts.I have had the previous model of this drill for about 2 years. Works great. The new drill is about 3/4″ shorter than the old drill. It should fit into smaller spaces a little better. The new model also comes with a side handle.The One Key feature is pretty nice. It lets you adjust the performance, torque, ramp-up speed, and anti-kick-back of the drill from your smart phone. You can also disable the drill so it can only be used if you have your phone.The dual 5 Amp batteries are the perfect size. The two M18 5.0 AH batteries and included charger keep you fueled for hours with a power you would only expect from a corded tool. And it all packs away in its own super rugged storage/transport case that keeps it safe from the garage to the jobsite. Its WiFi ONE-KEY kit helps you keep track of your tool on an app on your smartphone so you know who has the tool at what jobsite or which of your relatives or neighbors has the drill. One key also gives you the ability to lock the tool if its been stolen rendering useless to the person who has taken it.It has a brushless drive motor with up to 1,200 in./lbs. of torque making it one of the most powerfull cordless drills you can own. What a HOT ticket! This is a great drill, huge power, large keyless chuck, compact drive unit and not overly heavy or awkward to hold for an 18-volt unit. Milwaukee did itself proud with its new 18-VOLT LITHIUM-ION BRUSHLESS CORDLESS 1/2 IN. DRILL DRIVER KIT 2805-22. This is not a hammer drill it is a driver only with multiple preset torque settings to help prevent you from driving the screw too deep or damaging the screw head. Three speed modes located at the foot next to the battery allow you to select 500 RPM, 1200 RPM and 2000 RPM respectively. There is also a speed selecting switch, 1 and 2, on the top of the unit you can use between drilling and driving. The large ½” chuck allows you to use larger shank drills and the knurled keyless chuck works smoothly and flawlessly. The forward/reverse selector is a bit wishy-washy but does the job and seems to be reliable enough. I would like to see a more crisper action. The drill is armored with rubberized bumpers on both the drill and batteries as well as having a good ergonomically grip from the same rubberized material. There is a bright enough LED light at the base of the drill just above the battery along with a bit holder and belt clip. Great locking carry case with two 5 Ah quick charge lithium batteries, combo M18 and M12 charger and a removable side handle. I installed the One Key and other than registering the device on my phone it did nothing for me, but then I once thought the 8-track player was cutting edge. For the DYI not sure if One key is an advantage or not but if I was a contractor I could see it being a great help. There are multiple YOUTUBE on how to set up One key, recommend you watching them prior to installing yourself. Used this on several types of wood and metal with various drill, spade bits and a mud paddle. One thing is for sure this drill has some power and it seems that a charged battery will last quite a while even in heavy use. The side handle is a must when doing high torque operations. Great tool, super impressed, highly recommended.

Milwaukee does it again. This is an awesome drill driver kit that also includes a hard case and two batteries. Milwaukee has come out with the impressive battery technology called Redlink plus…which somehow optimizes battery/tool performance. Not sure how it works, but my drill seems to last a long time. The extra battery on standby is a no brainer though. I don’t use the “one key” feature but it seems like it would be a great feature for professional users.

Lots of torque in a very small package! Use it everywhere as the variable speed is especially useful. Size allows tool to fit places most 1/2 drills/drivers will not.

This is a really nice set. This is a very high torque Drill. I have many 18 volt drill sets. This one by far is much higher torque than all the others I have. Most of the time I do not need this much torque but it is nice to know it is there when I have a difficult screw to drive into hard wood. You can actually feel it twist in your hand slightly as you pull the trigger. I like that it comes with a hard case. Most of my tools either came with a soft canvas case or no case at all. I prefer the hard plastic case. I wish they would have left a little extra room for the second battery as it only fits in the case if attached to the drill. If using it every day this is not a problem, but when in storage it will drain the battery. It is shipped with a plastic guard to keep it from draining the battery while in a warehouse or shipping, however, once removed it can become an issue. I just store the extra battery on a shelf until it is needed. The bottom line here is this is a great addition to any list of tools you may have.

This is a professional grade drill driver set. It is made really well. It is heavier than some of my other drills but that is because it is made so well. Every thing about it was so well thought out. Even the case is a cut above. I Love there is a pocket for the instructions so they don’t fall out every time you open the case. And it comes with two batteries and a charger so one battery can charge will the other is being used – no down time. It has a lot of power and so many extras. There is a side hand grip included that is very easy to install. It has the power to do the job under a load. It’s built to last. It has anti kick back settings for trouble free work in trying conditions. And it has a way to track it with an app on your phone if it is lost! You can even lock and disable it remotely from your phone. Wow that’s so amazing! I’m in love. This is the quality I expect when I buy from Milwaukee Tool. Thank you!

The M18 Drill is a sturdy product, with the torque I had expected from a 1/2 in Drill powered by the 18 volt battery. The battery gauge is very handy to keep track of remaining power availability, though keeping the second battery charged is good practice. Of note, it took about 3 hours to charge each battery initially. The light focused on the working point is a very good feature.Instruction material is clear, especially regarding the Lithium batteries.Carrying case is solid and provides excellent protection for the Drill and accessories.While I have not downloaded the One-Key application, reviewing it in the Quick Start Guide would say it’s a registration application for “smart” tools. It will not actually impact the tool

Superb Milwaukee quality and innovations. The kit is all inclusive with 2, not one but 2 XC5.0 batteries AND if you have a Milwaukee 12 volt the charger works on them also. Super compact and comfortable in the hand. Talk about POWER, YESSSS! I knocked out a 1 3/8 hole through 1 1/2″ plywood and the width of a 2×4 in a flash. Wham, Bam hole is in. You have kickback control from min to max and all in between, max speed, type of bit, material being drilled AND trigger ramp up from shorter to longer. Kit includes a very solid side handle locking in 2 positions to help reduce torque fatigue. I personally don’t have need of the one key feature but I can see where it would be a tremendous advantage for any construction situation. You can find the tool and even lock it out. The case is super solid like all Milwaukee products.

This Milwaukee Drill driver kit is a very nice addition to my tool chest. The quality can be felt immediately when you pick up the drill. The unit is compact which is nice for tighter areas you have to work in. The drill is also substantial in weight but nothing I would list as a “con” when shopping. I cannot say how long teh batteries last as I haven’t really pushed the drill to its limit at this time. It is nice to have the two batteries and the Milwaukee tools that also use this battery system will most likely start my adding new additions from the M18 family to my collection. I honestly didn’t realize the drill had the programable setting but I can definitely see using the app on a larger project with receptive actions. If you make your living with this tool it would be a great way to simply repetitive tasks. Also nice is the locate me feature if the tool goes missing. All in all a really nice product that should go on working for many years to come.
