Another excellent tool in the FUEL line of cordless products from Milwaukee. This kit consists of Super Hawg 2 speed reversible angle drill, 2 batteries, rapid charger, side handle, and carry bag. Kit weighs about 21 lbs, so shoulder strap is handy. Drill weighs in at just over 15 lbs, and is a drilling beast! The Quik-Lok chuck is super fast and handy, but requires special bits with 7/16 hex shank with a lock groove. I opted for a 7/8 ship auger (not included) to drill holes for wiring in studs. It will drill through a stud in about 1 second, very fast! Drill is easy to handle and just a great tool to own. Batteries are XC6.0 High Output Red Lithium, and last for many holes. With the rapid charger, you will never run out of drilling capacity! Quik-Lok chuck is a bit sticky, because it is brand new. I was unable to do a one handed bit change (as claimed), but may be able to as it breaks in. Highly recommended!

I received my Milwaukee 18-volt fuel Super Hawg right angle drill with a one-handed Quick-Loc chuck today; This tool is one heavy-duty made right-handed hole drill.This brushless drill can drill over 75 2-9/16″ holes per charge – That’s impressive.It takes 7/16″shank or 3-flat shank bits, which is good because there will be no slippage. This Milwaukee Super Hawg also has a two-speed gearbox with a clutch in the lower speed.The drill has an easy to grip top handle, which allows for a secure hold when drilling.Overall this is one heavy-duty well-made easy to use right angle drill that is a must-have for the large holes that a lot of the trades use.

ONLY FOR DRILLING LARGE HOLES — The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless GEN 2 SUPER HAWG 7/16 in. Right Angle Drill QUIK-LOK Kit is a powerful tool that is aimed at plumbers or anyone who needs to drill large holes. I chose the QUIK-LOK chuck because it makes it easy to change bits. That feature works well. Then I discovered that the only bits that HD sells with a 7/16 shank are those for drilling large holes. The keyed chuck option would be a better choice for most others and DIYers for then any bit would fit into the chuck. One may buy a keyed chuck for about $60 which may replace the QUIK-LOK chuck but one needs to remember that it has reverse threads. It is an incredibly powerful tool for drilling large holes. It made drilling a 1 3/8″ hole with a Hole Dozer bit so much easier than when using my regular cordless drill. High speed worked better than low speed. Carpenters will appreciate the capability to quickly make a clean hole for installing door hardware. The instructions emphasize the need to brace the drill so that you do not encounter a situation where the bit binds and the drill suddenly reacts by reversing direction. The side handle may be used for bracing the drill. However, few situations occur where you have something to brace against. Fortunately, I did not encounter the bit binding. Although the drill is heavy, the top handle is well positioned for floor and wall holes. Overhead drilling may become tiring. The batteries are powerful and long lasting. Two charged batteries should last for a day’s work. With the rapid charger which is provided, my batteries changed in less than an hour each. The contractor bag folds open (see photo) making it easy to remove or put in the drill. The kit also includes a quality shoulder strap for use with the contractor bag.

This thing is a beast! I made a 4 inch hole through a 2 inch board and had absolutely no slow down, no power loss, no overheating, I just had to hold on and drill, the hardest part was removing the cut wood out of the 4 inch hole saw. The unit weighs 14.4 pounds and is built heavy duty; I can see this lasting a very long time. This has a light and includes a side handle, two batteries, a charger and a carrying bag.

Highly recommended. Weighing in at 12 pounds as a bare tool, this drill is engineered and built beyond my highest expectations. I have only used it in wood as I write and I love how it handles the wood augers and hole saws. Quick-Lok is a lazy man treat. No more fumbling for a bit key. Nice canvas carry case large enough to carry it all including any of the 7/16′ hex bits required. I love this tool! All descriptive information on the Home Depot web site is accurate. I’m so impressed with my Milwaukee 2811-22 Super Hawg right angle drill! I’ve owned and used the corded Hole Hawg and this M18 battery powered Super Hawg generates that type of power with a rating of up to 100–2 9/16″ holes per charge! There is tremendous torque in both low and high speed and I love both the handle grip and the hand grip on the front for greater control and safety. The Redlink Plus Intelligence is a great feature to locate lost or stolen tools. It comes with a 5 year tool and 3 year battery warranty. My kit came with 2 batteries, a charger and contractor bag. I definitely recommend the Super Hawg for the professional contractor–it will hold up to heavy duty use–or the homeowner needing a rugged tool to do his own rough in.

This is my first cordless super hawg and a great replacement for my corded one. I’ve only drilled two holes with it so far and since they were both 5 inches, I can attest to the power of this drill. It is very heavy and may not be the best unit for drilling holes all day long, especially while working overhead, it definitely has the power and balance to drill the larger holes.
