The Milwaukee M18 FUEL String Trimmer with QUIK-LOK, designed for landscape maintenance professionals, provides users with the power to clear thick brush, reaches full throttle in under 1 second and features a balanced design which increases user control. The cordless string trimmer is made up of 2 components the M18 FUEL Power Head with QUIK-LOK and QUIK-LOK String Trimmer Attachment. This M18 FUEL Power Head, part of the QUIK-LOK Attachment System, is compatible with multiple attachments such as an Edger, Articulating Hedge Trimmer and Pole Saw attachment. This gives users the ability to quickly swap out attachments on a single Power Head, delivering ultimate versatility and a lower cost of ownership. The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor delivers up to 6,200 RPM with up to a 16 cutting swath and gives you the power to maintain speed in demanding applications without bogging down. The motor is positioned in the rear of the trimmer to provide the best combination of power, balance and maneuverability. REDLINK PLUS intelligence ensures maximum performance while protecting from overload, overheating and over discharge.

I bought the trimmer (and chainsaw, and pole saw) to make my outdoor work more convenient and easier. The trimmer worked great even in a hard test of trimming high grass and growth around the shoreline of my pond. It had plenty of power to do the thick grasses. It was nice to be able to take small breaks and then just pick up the trimmer and get right back to work without cranking up and re-fueling a contrary gas trimmer. Just press the triggers and you’re on your way! I have the 12 amp battery and there was plenty of power to do the whole job (approx 45-60 minutes) without re-charging. Now that trimming is so convenient with battery power, I trim more often and the property looks better for it.

Very happy with this trimmer. Balanced well and easy to use. I bought this for my wife to use in the garden area which has a lot of ground. It trims grass and weeds with ease. We have our bigger trimmers for bigger stuff like thick brush around the farm. You can use this Milwaukee trimmer to cut thick stuff but I don’t think it was made for that. We used my 12ah battery for longer run time and power but you can use any battery. It feeds out line very smoothly with just a bump on the trim head. Reloading line with no tools is a plus. Don’t have to remove or open the trim head to reload line. Just feed line through the holes, make sure line is equal on both sides of trim head and wind the reloader by hand. We are getting the pole saw attachment this morning which is another great feature about this tool. You can swap the head to accommodate what your needs are. Built super solid! I really recommend this to anyone looking for a cordless trimmer. A lil pricey, but well worth the cost for a tool that can more than trim.

Great build quality, as expected from a Milwaukee tool. Tool-less disconnect between handle and tool. Very positive lock. I used it with the Pole Saw. Extensions interface flawlessly. Used 3 extensions together, so I could trim some high branches, and stay firmly on the ground.This replaced a Ryobi Pole Saw, which worked but had way too many plastic parts and felt like a toy.

Not anywhere as powerful as a four stroke gasser but what it lacks in performance it gains in convenience. Easy, doesn’t weigh anything, and eventually it gets the job done as a string trimmer. Where this thing really gets it’s worth is in the attachments. I haven’t gotten all of them yet because of their price but eventually it will be worth the switch to cordless.

The weed eater work very well in lite and heavy undergrowth . I also got the pole saw and it works fantastic on small and limbs up to 6″ . I have not tried anything larger .
