The Milwaukee M18 FUEL String Trimmer with QUIK-LOK, designed for landscape maintenance professionals, provides users with the power to clear thick brush, reaches full throttle in under 1 second and delivers up to 1-hour of run-time per charge. The cordless string trimmer is made up of 2 components the M18 FUEL Power Head with QUIK-LOK and QUIK-LOK String Trimmer Attachment. This M18 FUEL Power Head, part of the QUIK-LOK Attachment System, is compatible with multiple attachments such as an Edger, Articulating Hedge Trimmer and Pole Saw attachment. This gives users the ability to quickly swap out attachments on a single Power Head, delivering ultimate versatility and a lower cost of ownership. The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor delivers up to 6,200 RPM with up to a 16 cutting swath and gives you the power to maintain speed in demanding applications without bogging down. The motor is positioned in the rear of the trimmer to provide the best combination of power, balance and maneuverability. REDLINK PLUS intelligence ensures maximum performance while protecting from overload, overheating and over discharge. Includes the Milwaukee 0.095 in. string trimmer line that utilizes high grade polymers and a full mass, twisted design to provide longer life and greater cutting power.

Very happy with this trimmer. Balanced well and easy to use. I bought this for my wife to use in the garden area which has a lot of ground. It trims grass and weeds with ease. We have our bigger trimmers for bigger stuff like thick brush around the farm. You can use this Milwaukee trimmer to cut thick stuff but I don’t think it was made for that. We used my 12ah battery for longer run time and power but you can use any battery. It feeds out line very smoothly with just a bump on the trim head. Reloading line with no tools is a plus. Don’t have to remove or open the trim head to reload line. Just feed line through the holes, make sure line is equal on both sides of trim head and wind the reloader by hand. We are getting the pole saw attachment this morning which is another great feature about this tool. You can swap the head to accommodate what your needs are. Built super solid! I really recommend this to anyone looking for a cordless trimmer. A lil pricey, but well worth the cost for a tool that can more than trim.

Beyond good, absolutely amazing! Went together quickly, cuts spectacularly and handles beautifully.My previous unit, light commercial and also made by a major manufacturer, will be sold on eBay. Did a job with the Milwaukee three times faster than my old unit, 30 minutes versus 90. Plus I was able to cut saplings, raspberries and oriental bittersweet in additional to grass and weeds. Highly recommended.

Great build quality, as expected from a Milwaukee tool. Tool-less disconnect between handle and tool. Very positive lock. I used it with the Pole Saw. Extensions interface flawlessly. Used 3 extensions together, so I could trim some high branches, and stay firmly on the ground.This replaced a Ryobi Pole Saw, which worked but had way too many plastic parts and felt like a toy.

I bought the trimmer (and chainsaw, and pole saw) to make my outdoor work more convenient and easier. The trimmer worked great even in a hard test of trimming high grass and growth around the shoreline of my pond. It had plenty of power to do the thick grasses. It was nice to be able to take small breaks and then just pick up the trimmer and get right back to work without cranking up and re-fueling a contrary gas trimmer. Just press the triggers and you’re on your way! I have the 12 amp battery and there was plenty of power to do the whole job (approx 45-60 minutes) without re-charging. Now that trimming is so convenient with battery power, I trim more often and the property looks better for it.

Honestly this is the toughest trimmer line I have ever used. I have always used a stihl gas powered trimmer and stihl trimmer line. Going around my back lawn I would have to feed new line out 4 or 5 times. With this brand I only feed out more line once or twice. And it cuts grass and weeds just fine. I find myself able to tackle heavier weeds than before without going through line like crazy. Very pleased!
