The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor delivers up to 6,200 RPM with up to a 16 cutting swath, & gives you the power to maintain speed in demanding applications without bogging down. The MILWAUKEE M18 FUEL QUIK-LOK 10in. Pole Saw Attachment is powered by the M18 FUEL Power Head and w/ QUIK-LOK is compatible with the QUIK-LOK Attachment System. The unit features a 10in. I bought the trimmer (and chainsaw, and pole saw) to make my outdoor work more convenient and easier. The trimmer worked great even in a hard test of trimming high grass and growth around the shoreline of my pond. It had plenty of power to do the thick grasses. It was nice to be able to take small breaks and then just pick up the trimmer and get right back to work without cranking up and re-fueling a contrary gas trimmer. Just press the triggers and you’re on your way! I have the 12 amp battery and there was plenty of power to do the whole job (approx 45-60 minutes) without re-charging. Now that trimming is so convenient with battery power, I trim more often and the property looks better for it.

I am really pleased with trimmer. It does go through a battery pretty quickly but it cuts fine in turtle mode and I can usually do the job on one battery.

I’ve used it for a couple of weeks now, so far so good, the tool has plenty of power and easy to use. Very versatile with all the other tools we purchased as addons; the adaptable articulating hedge trimmer, extension pole, and tree trimmer. All three tools work seamlessly with the power head and the battery is so much better than the gas version from the past.

I have a small yard, and owned a leading STIHL gas trimmer, and received the 2825-20ST as a gift. I already have several M12 and M18 tools and well aware of the level of quality by Milwaukee. However I was unsure if M18 outdoor tools will handle yard work. I read many reviews, I was hesitant, and held back from getting the hedge trimmer and string trimmer. So my girlfriend made the decision for me and got me both! Yeah, she is a keeper! Out of the box there’s very little assembly, just the guard and the handle need to be attached. I used a 80% charged HO XC 6.0 battery, and was able to run on turtle mode for over 25mins. I still had 2 bars leftover when I was done. The power was ample I only needed to be on turtle mode and barely needed full throttle. It has dual speeds, and a variable trigger, bump feed and its balanced well. I listed my gas trimmer on the market place the very same day! I will not be going back to gas trimmers!!!!!!

Beyond good, absolutely amazing! Went together quickly, cuts spectacularly and handles beautifully.My previous unit, light commercial and also made by a major manufacturer, will be sold on eBay. Did a job with the Milwaukee three times faster than my old unit, 30 minutes versus 90. Plus I was able to cut saplings, raspberries and oriental bittersweet in additional to grass and weeds. Highly recommended.
