The M18 FUEL String Trimmer with QUIK-LOK has the power to clear thick brush, reaches full throttle in under 1-second and features a balanced design which increases user control. The String Trimmer is made up of 2 components the M18 FUEL Power Head and QUIK-LOK String Trimmer Attachment. Part of the QUIK-LOK Attachment System, the Power Head is compatible with multiple attachments such as an Edger, a Hedge Trimmer and a Pole Saw. The ability to quickly swap out attachments on a single Power Head delivers ultimate versatility and a lower cost of ownership. Designed to meet the needs of professional landscape maintenance, the POWERSTATE Brushless Motor is positioned in the rear of the trimmer to provide the best combination of power, balance and maneuverability. The motor delivers up to 6,200 RPM with up to a 16 in. cutting swath and has the power to maintain its speed in demanding applications without bogging down. The REDLINK PLUS intelligence ensures maximum performance and protection from overload, overheating and over discharge. The advanced electronic package also delivers instantaneous throttle response, high and low speeds and a variable speed trigger for ultimate control over the power range. The Easy Load Trimmer Head delivers an easy line loading experience and allows users to load up to 25 ft. of trimmer line in under 30-seconds. Includes M18 FUEL 8 in. Nice addition to the power head. The edger is meant for maintaining and does a great job of it. I think it might struggle on an overgrown application…..my opinion. Other than that, no regrets, I love it!

1st I’m a pro lawn guy. I use echo weedeaters and although they are tough they are finiky- carburators, fuel and air filters, oil to gas ratios jeez Louise I have more important things to do. This Milwaukee trimmer has really simplified my operation. Battery life is decent but I always have another on the charger in my truck. It’s powerful and make short work of edging and weed whacking. I really like that the drive motor is not on the head of the trimmer and that once I pull the trigger there is no lag in operation. They are a bit pricey but I plan on introducing another one into my business this coming season. You guys and gals who do your own lawn- buy it,to the pros out there you can’t go wrong- buy an additional battery.

I’ve used this for quite some time now to trim and edge my 1/4 acre residential yard. The 9AH battery will get me through several weeks worth of maintenance before it needs charged, and I swear the rapid charger will have it fully charged again within 30 minutes. Trimmer is simple to use, simple to dispense more string, simple to reload. Edger leaves a flawless edge with ease (the first time I edged, it had never been done, so it was more of an effort – but once you do that and keep up on it you’ll fly through it). Very comfortable to hold, especially if you buy the harness to go with it. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve recommended this thing to. My neighbor went out and bought a set after trying it. I’ve completely ditched just about all of my gas powered tools; everything in the M18 outdoor line is exceptionally easy to use with plenty of power (try the chainsaw…). Who wants to mess with the mess of gas and oil, maintaining those engines during the seasons – and it seems no matter how well you take care of them they never start next season?I’m telling you – if you’ve ever considered getting into the cordless outdoor tool game – do it. Maintaining the yard is something you have to do your whole life, might as well make it easy?
