The MILWAUKEE M18 FUEL Compact Dual-Trigger Band Saw Kit incorporates a Dual-Trigger Design for Safe Cutting which requires triggers located on both the back and front handle to be engaged in order to operate. The M18 FUEL Compact Band Saw is the fastest cutting band saw in its class with a POWERSTATE Brushless motor and Constant Power Technology. Equipped with Jobsite Armor Technology, this cordless band saw is better protected from drops and debris with a proprietary composite material and crush zone barriers to absorb impacts. Milwaukee M18 FUEL power tool line features REDLINK PLUS Intelligence, the most advanced system of cordless power tool electronics, providing optimized performance and overload protection using total system communication between tool, battery and charger. A variable speed trigger, tool-free locking adjustable shoe, and LED work light give users maximum control and productivity. Very nice tool. Despite the off-center blade placement, this saw is well-balanced. It will smoothly cut up to 3 ¼ inches with a single pass. The instructions left important things out, particularly how to load the blade correctly and how to install the edge guards. The blade must be slid into two guide bearings. That said, the saw is relatively light weight and easy to use. The set comes with 2 light weight M18 batteries and a quick charger. I’ve never had or used a portable, battery-operated band saw before, and this one demonstrates to me that having and using one is a great addition to my tools set.

This is an extremely powerful cordless compact bandsaw that improves job productivity and safety. I definitely prefer using this bandsaw over an angle grinder. I was impressed by how comfortable this band saw is to use and how fast and clean it cuts through steel, angle iron and rebar. Plus I didn’t have to worry about kickback or the disk from a grinder coming apart. The blade is easy to change and replacement blades are inexpensive. The included brush helps with cleaning the gears inside of the saw of metal debris extending tool life. I love the built in LED light. I highly recommend this cordless compact bandsaw from Milwaukee.

If you are tired of using a hacksaw, this is the product for you. The Milwaukee Cordless Dual-Trigger Band Saw model 2829S-22 includes a 8/10tpi Extreme Metal blade, blade covers, rapid charger, two 3.0 Ah batteries and a contractors bag. Blade changes are fairly easy once one understands the process. I initially struggled to get the blade around the pulleys so it sat evenly but once I locked in the tension handled and rotated the blade a bit, everything lined up perfectly. The instructions for blade change in the manual should be followed for the initial installation of the blade. Unfortunately, the manual does not discuss how to install the blade covers. While the covers are considered an accessory and not included with all models, I think they are a valuable addition. In my opinion, should the blade break during usage, the covers have a high likelihood of preventing the broken blade from making contact with one’s body. I did notice during testing that the rear cover collected a lot of metal particles during the cutting process. This particular model band saw includes a dual trigger safety feature where one must first pull the trigger then hold down the button under the front handle. This must be done in only this sequence within a short period of time or the tool will not start. The speed of cutting is controlled via a variable speed trigger (note: other models also include a speed limiting dial but this model does not). This band saw also features an LED light the illuminates the cutting surface, a hang hook, an adjustable guide and an optional reaming attachment (not included) for reaming conduit post cutting. I tested the product by cutting angle iron and a 1-1/2 diameter metal tube with 1/8 inch thick walls. The band saw cut through both test items with ease and speed. I found without the guide extended my cut was very wavy. With the guide fully extended my cut was straight although at an angle which is likely due to my inexperience with the tool and how to hold it properly. I did find the guide adjustment button was very stiff and it was difficult to move the guide without two hands and some leverage against the tool. The guide can be locked in three different positions. The blade is 35-3/8 inches by 1/2 inch wide by .020 inches thick. The jaw of the tool can accommodate 3-1/4 inch round stock or 3-1/4 by 3-1/4 inch rectangular stock. Overall I think this is a fantastic product.

Another very well made tool by Milwaukee. This tool is lightweight yet sturdy and powerful. Has many many safety options built in which I like. They include an LED light and a toolless shoe blade guard, as well as a lock system that requires you to put both each hand on Independent handles with triggers in order to operate. You must hit each trigger in sequence or the saw will not start. This is invaluable to me so that you don’t accidentally start that saw when you’re not ready. My only minor disappointment is that the directions in the manual were very limited. The only real installation is attaching the blade and putting on the end covers for safety. I was able to figure it out relatively quickly. 2 to the current work slowdown I was only able to test this on some 2 inch conduit which it easily cut. the wide mouth around the soul blade allows you to cut up to 3.5 in diameters. It is very light and easy to carry around which is great for taking two DIY projects at your house or your neighbors. It comes with a very large storage bag along with the charger and 2 high output batteries which makes this tool set a very good deal in my opinion.
