Yes, cut much faster than my other three corded ones, this time the big red really delivered! Vibration is much less. But I am no pro so vibration wasn’t such a big deal for me before. Auto mode is great, love it. And like a youtuber said, the speed dial is in a tricky place that can be accidentally switched. So need to get used to holding it carefully. But this device is slim and well balanced so shouldn’t be a challenge. The corded ones are fatter to grab. So I like the big red a lot better in the ergonomics department. The the quick release isn’t great, needs two steps. The magnetic tip didn’t do much to hold the bit for me either. In fact I use a hex stick to switch blades on a cheap harbor freight one about as easily. And the red tool is expensive! But for the cordless convenience and the cutting speed, I vote yes!

Milwaukee Tools has another great multi-tool kit. Their M18 Fuel, 18-volt Lithium-ion cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool kit comes with a M18 Multi-tool, a 5.0 Ah battery, charger, sanding pads, one wood cutting blade and Tool Bag. A feature of the Milwaukee multi-tool I really like is the tool free, quick release lever used when changing blades, scrapers or sanding pads. Most other multi-tools require an Allen Wrench to loosen a bolt when changing a blade. Milwaukee has designed a cam over quick release to release pressure on the retaining screw that holds the blade or accessories in place. With the pressure released on the retaining screw, it can be loosened by hand, the blade can be changed, then the screw can be retightened by hand and then the quick release handle can be seated applying pressure on the screw holding the blade or accessory in place. The multi-tool is also variable speed and can be adjusted while the tool is running using your thumb. The tool can be adjusted from 10,000 to 20,000 OPM (oscillations per minute), the adjust knob is marked from 2 to 10 and A. The speed adjustment has an Auto (A) position which starts at 15,000 OPM and ramps up to 20,000 OPM when load is applied. A battery use indicator is located on the face of the Red Lithium 5Ah battery. On the front of the multi-tool there is a handy 180 deg. LED light which shines on the work piece and blade tip in low light situations. The accessories include a sanding backing pad and 5 precut sanding sheets (coarseness P60, P80, 2 – P120 and a P240). Also, a 1 3/8-inch wide, wood cutting blade is provided. The 5Ah battery will provide plenty of run time for most daily jobs. I would recommend this multi-tool to any craftsman.

Second Milwaukee oscillating tool that I purchased. The first one finally wore out on me ,and then I got this one, and there is a huge difference. This one has a lot more power ,and I love the A setting on the veritable speed knob.It helps you start a cut which is kind of tricky sometimes. I would recommend ,thinking about upgrading the saws all now to.

I was hesitant about spending the money on this tool as i have the older non brushed version that has been doing the job, or so I thought.Naturally the first thing I did with this brushless version was to turn it on and see if it really was as smooth as the claims. I can honestly say that it’s very smooth, and with the same blade on both multi tools this new version really does cut faster……not a little faster, but a whole lot faster.The A setting is remarkable, and does exactly as advertised.The magnets that hold the blade during blade changes made an already easy to change system even easier. The weight, size and comfort of this design make it a joy to use. I tried my 3.0 thru 8.0 batteries and it just feels balanced.So with that said, it’s not just another pretty face in the tool lineup, it gets right down to doing it’s job.Money well spent in my opinion.Thx again Milwaukee

This multi-tool has great promise out of the box. I bought it to replace my aging 2626 multi-tool, which has seen quite a lot of use over the last few years. My first reactions are that it cuts quicker and vibrates less. I’m liking the “auto” mode quite a lot from my first few uses– excited to try it more. I used and abused the 2626 and every indication says that this tool will exceed my expectations doing the same.
