I tend to do a lot of handyman work as an added income. Some of that work varies from home remodeling/repairs to side of the road vehicle repairs. As such, this impact driver gets quite a bit of work. It provides exceptional power (at times a bit too much for it’s own good) and tends to run an impressively long time with an XC2.0 battery attached. I’ve now owned two of these impact drivers and the only reason for the purchase of a replacement driver was due to me being in a hurry while not thinking things through. This is where the “too much power for its own good” comes in. While the impact driver has enough power to lift the front of a 1999 Chevy Monte Carlo using a 1/2” socket adapter and the scissor jack included with the car, the socket adapters can’t take that kind of abuse. Yep, you guessed it, the adapter snapped off inside the impact drivers chuck. So that was my “tool stupidity” moment resulting in the purchase of a replacement tool. If it had not been for that, I’d still be using the first impact driver that I had purchased. It definitely carries on the traditional Milwaukee tool quality and performance they have rightly earned long ago.
