I have used this a number of different occasions for both construction sites, and around the house with various wood projects. The tool seems to work great, and has lots of torque power in comparison to other name brand tools from other manufacturers. I think that Milwaukee has really stepped up their game with their wide range of M12 and M18 cordless. I will continue to purchase tools from.them due to their high quality and overall satisfaction.

I use this product in the transportation industry as a diesel mechanic, it gets used heavy- big deck screws for aluminum decks on trailers to even put 1/4 socket on to to engine work to even use to pull dashboards apart. First things first, size is not a limitation to the capabilities of this drill. However, to large of battery can make it feel unbalanced limits the usefulness of its compact size. I have yet to find a tool ouch that holds it and my 5.0 battery securely, but it hangs well off my harness with one of the Milwaukee lanyard. The ability to change power settings is great to. I can go from drilling Tap Cons, to installing a shelf. I can go from removing brake calipers to removing my dash.

The power of the impact is great for driving lag bolts in a deck. Where my issue is with it is it doesn’t start impacting soon enough. It doesn’t start impacting till the screws are near there full tighten depth. I have an older version of this impact driver and it starts a lot sooner. Are all of these models like this or did I get a bad one?

This drill does everything you could ever ask for. Power, speed, metal framing setting, great run time, and good ergonomics. Got this swapped as a replacement to my older one with the collet issue. At times it would do nothing when you press the trigger, otherwise a great tool. I look forward to the gen 4 where these issues were hopefully resolved.

Great power, compact and built well. Except the 3/4 hex holder. The bits come out way too easily and I am using Milwaukee shockwave bits. Not cool for a top of the line impact driver. None of my other impacts have this problem and they here less money.
