The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2 in. Compact Impact Wrench with Friction Ring is the most compact in its class, delivering users the most access in tight spaces, up to 250 ft./lbs. of nut-busting torque, and maximum workspace visibility. This battery-powered impact wrench measures only 4.9 in. L with a POWERSTATE Brushless motor to provide the power to remove stubborn fasteners, even in confined spaces. The Milwaukee 1/2 in. impact wrench has tri-LEDs that surround the anvil to deliver users brighter light with fewer shadows. 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL offers greater precision with a range of pre-set RPM and IPM levels, selectable from a single button on the tool. By selecting Mode 4, AUTO SHUT-OFF control applies no more than 20 ft./lbs. of torque for hand-tight fastening applications to prevent overtightening. Mode 4 also features Bolt Removal Control delivers full torque output, then decreases RPMs once the bolt is loosened to prevent fastener drops. REDLINK PLUS Intelligence electronics make these controls possible while ensuring maximum performance, protecting the tool against overloads, over-heating, and over-discharge.

Excellent impact wrench with 1/2 head. This has more than sufficient torque, plus being a brushless motor gives you the latest and greatest of future battery powered tools. I had no problems using my normal chrome 1/2 sockets but for folks with more heavy usage than myself, it is still recommend to use impact rated sockets. This may be because I am using my years old Craftman’s Made in USA, W. Germany sockets passed down to me than todays Made in China sockets. I did fine the friction ring was abit more tighter to secure the socket on than the detent ball type types. I also used it with a hex head adaptor and even socket reducer for my 3/8 sockets and had no problems. The shorter head made it easier for those cramp in areas, even with my right angle adaptor, and the 3 lights, not 1 but 3 lights provide more than sufficient lighting. This gave me more than enough power to sub this for use as an impact driver too. I liked being able to do so and not having to carry more than one impact tool. When it come to battery powered tools, I look for well known brands like Milwaukee rather than the many available off brands because of the assurance of the quality and warranty of the tool. This has 3 years on the battery and 5 years on the tool. This kit comes with 2 batteries and the included charger also will charge my M-12 tool batteries too. That totally fits the famous red colored carrying case.

High Quality, Compact, and Great Performance sum this impact wrench! It’s almost the same size as my Milwaukee 1/4” impact wrench but it does pack quite a punch. With just one bar of battery charge, It just made quick easy work of removing the axle nuts on the motorcycle which have a torque of 110 ft lbs and 70 ft lbs…has 3 lights on the front which means if working on tight spaces you are well lit. The compact size is a huge plus, makes it easy to use in tight spaces. Very happy with this product.

It exceeded my expectations.

Great tool can change 4 truck tires on a high output 3amp battery with only dropping 1 bar. Small and light but powerful.

Love this impact. Bought to replace a hex drive impact that constantly broke 1/2inch adapters. Only downside I found is because of the flat nose design, you must have ample room around the fastener. You can use a deep well socket but that defeats the purpose of the compact design. Overall, highly recommended.

This is a great upgrade from the m12 stubby. I use this for general purpuses from changing tires, installing a tool box to installing a new drive shaft on my work truck and it worked great so far.

Lots to like in this new ½” impact from Milwaukee. It’s smaller, giving you access to tighter spaces, where the bigger ones won’t go. The weight and the belt clip means you can keep it comfortably on your side, for all day use. I like that I don’t feel that I have to lay it down, which ends up being out of reach, I can just hang it from my belt or pants pocket. The friction ring means I can quickly and easily change sockets. The three LED lights are a huge improvement, lighting up those dark areas, where the light never seems to be for you. Up to 250ft/lbs. of “Nut Busting Torque” is more than enough for most fasteners. I took this one straight out of the box, with one of the enclosed batteries, showing one bar and removed a lug nut torqued to 150ft/lbs. Then I put on one of my 1.5ah batteries, 2 bars showing and removed another lug nut. You don’t have to have the biggest battery ever made. The trigger is super smooth and you can easily and smoothly control the speed. This is one you’ll most often reach for. It has a comfortable grip that’s easy to hold onto. It uses the very popular M18 batteries. It comes with a five years warranty on the tool and three year warranty on the batteries. A charger is included all in a tough plastic hard case to protect your equipment. This is great if you’re looking for a great all-around impact or you want to upgrade or add to your collection of fine tools. It’s perfect for the shop and if you want to keep one in the car or truck, just in case. You’ll appreciate it if you get caught with a flat. I love this thing. Read your owner’s manual and enjoy.

Gift for my son. He is pleased with itExcept that I paid for a warranty and he told me it already has a five year warranty. The ad didn’t show that. Wish I could get my money back for the warranty I paid for_ not needed and waist of my money!

This is the smallest 1/2″ impact wrench of all time. The power is amazing and it can fit almost anywhere. The new LEDs are at the perfect location.

This M18 FUEL GEN-3 18-Volt Brushless Cordless ½ in. Compact Impact Wrench with Friction Ring Kit is another great cordless tool from the folks at Milwaukee Tool. The Kit includes the FUEL Compact Impact Wrench, a M18/M12 Charger, 2-M18 5Ah Battery Packs and it all comes in a nice fitted plastic case. The Friction Ring keeps sockets securely attached, while making them easy to change. The 4.9 in. length of the Wrench fits in tight spaces while providing up to 250 ft. lbs. of torque, more than enough for any job I’ll be tackling. The Tri-LEDS provide awesome light for the task at hand. Since I don’t use impacts enough to develop a “good feel” for torque and having seen many mechanics over-tighten by starting them and running them down with an impact, the 4-mode DRIVE CONTROL is a feature I really appreciate. The modes provide better control of speed and power, and include auto shut-off and bolt removal modes (no more crawling or reaching around with a magnet for those nuts that seem to always fall out of the socket and go somewhere other than where you want them). And, of course, the trigger also provides easy control of speed and power. The Auto Shut-off Mode prevents over-tightening by applying no more than 20 ft. lbs. of torque. The Bolt Removal Mode delivers full torque and then decreases RPMs, preventing the dropping of fasteners (NICE). This wrench feels good in the hand and does everything I want it to. Like all of my Milwaukee Cordless tools, I like this one plenty!

I’ve been a fan of Milwaukee tools for a while, so I was excited when the Milwaukee M18 1/2” compact impact wrench kit arrived on my doorstep. The kit comes complete with the impact wrench, charger (which also charges M12 batteries in addition to M18 batteries), two batteries, and a carrying case. For a 1/2” impact driver, it is light and compact, and it features three LED lights for better viewing in dark spaces. After charging the spare battery, I went into the garage to test this bad boy out. As a measure of its impactfulness (I think I just invented a word here), I loosened four of the lug nuts on my truck and re-torqued them to 70, 80, 90, and 100 foot pounds using my trusted clicker torque wrench. I set the impact wrench to the bolt removal mode and. . . the first three lugs nuts loosened up no problem but the 100 pound lug nut took a few seconds before it loosened up. While the Milwaukee M18 1/2” compact impact wrench is rated at a maximum 250 foot pounds of “nut-busting” Torque, I suspect it will struggle with anything over 120 foot pounds. As a garage tool for the DIYer, it should handle most jobs.

This Milwaukee M-18 Fuel Gen-3 Impact Wrench is everything it’s cracked up to be! When they say, “Nut-busting power,” they mean Nut-busting power! I needed to remove the wheels off of my ’97 Pickup to replace the brakes. Didn’t have to drag 50+ feet of air compressor hose around. Didn’t have to tear out the back seat to find the 4-way wrench. Just grabbed my new lightweight POWERFUL Gen-3 Impact Wrench, grabbed the right coated impact socket, and BAAAMMMM…done! Made easy work of removing all the nuts, just like at the tire places. Seriously, I felt like one of the race track tire guys and their quick-change expertise. I also used it on my 2020 BMW M-4 wheels. Like butta, baby! You can’t go wrong with this impact wrench. Compact. Lightweight. Powerful. Two long-lasting batteries. Charger. Simply one of the best Nut-busting cordless impact wrenches you’ll ever find!
