HVAC Controls Tech here. This is a powerful driver period… one can say its too powerful… Loving how on level 1 it stops to prevent stripping the hole as soon as it begins to impact so in other words, as soon as the screw is fastened, it stops ( I would imagine this is specifically for sheet metal drilling) Great improvement. I’ve used it on duct work while mounting Controllers into VAV/CAV boxes. Great design and good quality feel to it. Love the compact size too.

Overall it’s a great tool. The only complaint is that if you switch from reverse to forward quickly, the next trigger pull will still be in reverse even when switch is in forward.

I already had the 1/2″ drive unit so this was an easy choice for me. Used this to drive all of the screws through the metal roof and siding on my 24 x 24 pole barn. Started with the 1 Ah battery but soon upgraded to the 4Ah batteries. Can go all day on one battery. Even used it to drive the 6″ lag screws that held all Girts and purlins in place. Indispensable tool for this application. being small and using a short drive bit allowed me to get into places my conventional cordless drill wouldn’t be able to fit into.

Of course mo tool is perfect. This gen 3 has its fair issues. My biggest issue is the trigger issue. My battery is fully charged and nothing happens when I press the trigger. Also randomly when driving in bolts or screws forward it will sporadically start reversing them out then driving them back in. Has great power for the size thats for sure. Even with its issues I use it every single day of work
