As a contractor, I use this hammer drill constantly. It has incredible power, is extremely comfortable and does not burn through battery power. Highly recommended.

This Milwaukee M18 is a very good value. Two 4.04 Ah Batteries and the optional handle. Im very pleased with the performance.I hope to get many years of service from this tool.

So far the only issue I found was it has a tendency to skip out of gear when on regular drill so if I may ask what can I do about that

Milwaukee = Quality, Durability, Power. Milwaukee is that player that is setting the standard when it comes to power tools. Everything from the design to the quality of materials to the durability of the tool. I work at a very large property that requires an 18 man, full time maintenance team. We strictly use Milwaukee cordless power tools because all other brands that we have used just do not last. With that said, lets move onto the drill at hand. This drill is easy to use. Its mult-functional for the every day professional tradesman to the home DIYer. Its lightweight, the materials are bright red and black and durable. You can adjust the torque and the speed depending on the job that your using it for as well. The battery comes with an LED display that tells you how much charge its holding. It comes with a charger and 2 batteries all in a nice carrying case. The drill also has a bright white LED light to help you see when applying the trigger. The keyless chuck works great and grips any bit like shark and it wont let go. Once you go with this brand… You will feel the difference and see the results! The perfect drill for any business or home.

This drill comes with two batteries, which is great, so you can always have a spare battery with you. It also comes with a really nice plastic carrying case. The case is large enough to fit everything in there which is good, but I would prefer a smaller case that doesn’t have a spot for the charger because it would be easier to store and carry. If I have two batteries I don’t think I need to carry the charger with me. I could see if you were out at a job site all day using it maybe you would want the batteries and the charger in that case. I normally store my drill in my tool bag so a smaller case would be better for me.This drill is expensive but it appears to be well made, it is also a hammer drill and it comes with two batteries, a charger, a side handle and a case. The side handle is easy to take on and off. This is handy if you need to brace the drill while drilling a large hole. This is quite a bit louder than my other cordless drills. Maybe it is because it is a hammer drill. When you turn it to the hammer drill setting it is really noisy once you start drilling. You definitely want ear defenders for that. It is a lot quieter when drilling in non-hammer mode. This drill will take up to a ½ inch drill shaft. My old drill would only take up to 3/8 so this is an improvement. The battery is larger which makes the whole tool heavier but hopefully it will last longer. The battery and charger also have good indicators to show how much charge is in the battery and when the battery is fully charged. The instructions say in multiple places that you should take the battery out before you put in a new drill or screwdriver bit. That seems overly cautious and I’m sure no one will follow those instructions.I’m focusing on Milwaukee tools because they are good tools and also because I have quite a few Milwaukee batteries so I can use them between the different tools. It is too bad that all the different manufacturers have different batteries but as long as they do I’ll focus on one brand. I now have a Milwaukee drill, I just bought a Milwaukee blower and I already have a Milwaukee reciprocating saw, a blue tooth speaker, a work light and even Milwaukee work gloves. I think they should send me a t-shirt too!In summary this drill/driver kit appears to me to be a really good product, but as is typical with good tools it is not cheap.

Another great product from the people at Milwaukee. I really like the lightweight compact design and feel of this tool. This drill/driver comes in a nice kit with batteries and a hard case. The metal chuck is much nicer then the plastic ones on some other drills. I’m changing out my older tools to the new brushless Milwaukee ones. I’ve had several failures of the non-brushless motors (other manufacturers) on previous tools and the replacement motor is as much as the new tool. Go ahead and make the change to Milwaukee brushless you won’t be disappointed.

Nice tools I been a dewalt most of my life seems like these set is what I was looking for ,powerful and lightweight ..

Everything I expected from this Milwaukee set. Really like the convenience of the 3 settings drill, hammer drill and screwdriver on 1 tool. The 4.0 batteries provide longer run times on larger jobs. I took my older Milwaukee combo drill to a secondary home as back up and have been extremely pleased with it. Happy with my purchase and online order experience.

Reverse/forward switch is not that easily Manipulated. My be due to the fact that I am used to the control on my Dewalt. It is heavier than my previous drill but much more power and battery life

I have owned quite a few cordless drills, but none as capable as this Milwaukee. First, it has 1/2″ capacity, rather than the 3/8″ typical of the genre. It also has “hammer-drill” capability, useful when drilling into masonry or concrete.I found that the chuck secured tightly and seemed to “ratchet” a bit making me think the bit was more secure (I have had keyless chucks loosen in the past.) It did not bog down at all when I used a 1″ hole drill in a steel radiator cover, and also made quick work of smaller holes in the cover. As is typical with cordless drills, a slide switch on top selects from high or low speed, and a ring rotates on the chuck to set torque for screwdriving, or you can set it to drill or hammer-drill. A bright light illuminates the work area, and a sturdy belt clip is included.Milwaukee includes two of the 4.0Ah batteries along with a charger that will also charge the M12 batteries. I like that the batteries include a charge level indicator. The drill is easy and comfortable to grip. It’s heavier than other cordless drills I have used, but not wearingly so. The included hard carrying case latches and has a hole for a padlock. It holds the drill, charger and an extra battery.

Cordless power equipment has advanced quite a bit over the last several years, and this little Milwaukee is a huge improvement over my other branded cordless drill. For starters, the battery doesn’t discharge readily when sitting around. I’m sure the level gradually drops, but nowhere near what previous generations experienced. The battery also has a convenient button you can push to assess the charge level.I’m also amazed at how much more power and torque this unit has, especially considering its diminutive size. Works great driving screws, drilling, and as a hammer drill. I’ve used it for a complete range of tasks. Build quality is excellent.

I am slowly upgrading my tools to fuel versions. This hammer drill is smaller then my brushed version, but has more power, and longer battery life. Other then that, it functions the same. I tend to use it more for drilling with auger bits then anything else. I am an electrician, so I am normally drilling 1″ and smaller holes. I can normally do that using the low torch, high speed setting. My main use for the hammer setting is driving concrete screws. It works well for that. I have used it to srill a few holes for anchors, but I prefer a SDS Plus for that.

I was first introduce to the Milwaukee M18 series of tools at work as these are what is purchased by my employer. When I saw the Milwaukee M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/2 in. Compact Hammer Drill/Driver Kit with (2) 4.0Ah Batteries & Hard Case being offered I knew I had to have it.It is rated best power in class and really packs a punch for a drill so compact. I hate to let a perfectly good drill sit on the shelf collecting dust so I still occasionally use my DeWalt. More times than I can recall I have had to grab the Milwaukee to finish a job that the DeWalt could not.The batteries seem to last forever. I am constantly checking the battery status thinking “it must be about time to change it” only to see all of the lights lit up. I seriously believe that if I ever wanted to build a house off-the-grid, with no power available, I could take the two included batteries along and still have juice remaining after the job was done.I am completely sold on the M18 series tools. They are solidly built, including this drill, and the variety of options available that all use the same battery is mind boggling. I am glad to add this drill to my slowly growing M18 collection and I know what I will be buying people for Christmas so they will stop asking to use mine.
