I am very impressed with this cordless drill. I like that it comes with two batteries. Though the batteries are quite potent, it’s always good to have an extra battery as hammer drills need sufficient power to drill into masonry. It is brush-less which makes it longer lasting. The case is a plus, I’ve purchased other power tools and many don’t come with a case. The drill effortlessly made holes in concrete because of the hammer feature. It’s not as heavy or loud as other corded drills. Great addition to my tools! Works great for drilling other materials also. Comes with a handle and also has a light to help you see where you are drilling.

Heavier than the DeWalt 20 V hammer drill, awkward location of the on/off switch compared to the ergonomically well designed DeWalt, a little noisier also. So far it has been doing well the tasks i had put it through, hammer drilling and screw driving. I will find out the quality of its clutch when i start drilling half inch holes through wood beams, that is where the 20 v DeWalt clutch met its maker.

Very well made and powerful.

As other reviews attest, everything about this drill/driver – compact size, torque, brushless, 4.0 AH batteries, make this a great tool. But it’s the hammer action that blew me away – it provided the oomph needed for drilling holes for wedge anchors in my garage concrete floor slab. Weighting around 4 pounds and used with the side handle, its was easy drilling into concrete. Additionally the 4.0 amp hour battery provided the backbone needed to get the job done smoothly and quickly.

The drill works great and was exactly what I wanted but it was quite a hassle to get it.After visiting three different stores I was finally told that it had to be ordered online and then almost a week before I finally got it. More knowledgeable sales people would have saved me a lot of time .

I have been using cordless tools for years and this by far is the best. The hard case protects your investment. The drill offers so many settings to fit the project you are working on. Powerful for tough jobs such as drilling concrete & metal. It comes with a quick connect side handle to make drilling more comfortable on large projects. Two 4.0 batteries are included along with a charger that you can wall mount to save room on your workbench. The batteries hold the charge to keep power flowing. I like the feature of being able to check the remaining power of the battery so there is no guess work as to when re-charging is needed. The drill is a bit heavy but the extra weight is worth it to have a POWERFUL tool.

I have had this hammer drill about 2 weeks. It seems to have plenty of power drilling a 3/16″ hole into concrete. The battery life was shorter than I expected, but it recharged in less than 1 hr. I am pleased with this product.

Talk about powerful drills, this is one. The advertised 725 lbs of torque is for real. Had to rebuild a couple of old battery boxes off of a tractor. It drilled 10 holes through heavy metal with no let up or battery change. I have a ½” corded hammer drill for drilling concrete, this drill seems to have just as much power, it drilled the same holes, same amount of time. The power/torque and battery life make this one a winner.

This is my first Milwaukee tool and so far I’m impressed. The thing about cordless power tools is that unless I have problems with a particular brand, I typically stay with that brand. I have accumulated a large collection of cordless tools with of a different brand, so switching is not an easy thing to do. When I got this drill, I was pretty impressed with the build quality and the weight of it. Brushless is also the only way to go in my opinion when talking about cordless tools. When I opened this up, I was pleased to find that both batteries were roughly 75% charged especially since i was working on putting up some railings in my garage for storage. For a hammer drill I didnt find this as powerful as I would have liked, but I was able to drive some lag bolts into a stud, but it took longer than my Dewalt brushless drill. I was impressed that although I drove in roughly 5 lag bolts and probably 40-50 screws, the battery was still had three lights on the battery. Im not sure of the battery life, but so far it seems to be pretty good. One feature that really stuck out for me was the handle attachment. Unlike my other hammer drills, the handle was much easier to attach to the Milwaukee. I always hated having to pull the handle through the front of the drill and lock into place by lining everything up just right. With this attachment, you loosen the top of the handle enough to slide it on top of the drill and then tighten it up. So much easier. Another nice feature is the charger. It can charge both M18 and M12 batteries. This is a nice touch if you own other Milwaukee products. All in all, I’m pretty happy with this drill and would consider more of their products for future purchases.

I received the M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/2″ Compact Hammer Drill/Driver Kit with (2) 4.0Ah Batteries & Hard Case. It came with a great carrying case to store the drill motor, the charger and the 2 batteries in. I like the compact size of the drill motor it will be easier to use and get into tighter places. The batteries have a fuel gauge that displays the remaining charge which will be very handy when using this tool. It has a brushless motor in it so there is no wearable components for longer life. The drill motor has a really nice LED light so you can see what you’re drilling. This is a powerful drill motor with a lot of torque. It looks like it’s built with some very good quality. It has a all metal 1/2″ ratcheting Chuck. Most anyone would be very happy with this drill motor.

The extra power of the brushless motor continues to surprise me. I just installed a flat screen TV mount on a concrete block wall and couldn’t believe how fast the holes were done. My older drill took so long I would rest between holes just to give my hands a break. Plus the tool is smaller so it will fit places my old drill wouldn’t and it is lighter. More power, smaller and lighter what else could you ask for?

I am very happy with my milwaukee power tools, the hammer drill is great, has a lot of power and is very light, I switched to this brand for others thanks to Milwaukee for making durable tools

This is an excellent package for any DIYer or professional! The hammer drill is powerful and quick! When you hold this power tool you can feel the quality by the weight and how solid this drill feels. The chuck is all metal, not plastic like other name brand tools sometimes offer on DIY level tools. The drill runs a very very long time with one 4.0ah battery but this kit includes two batteries. The included charger will charge your M18 batteries and M12 batteries at the same time. So if you have other tools from Milwaukee you can save space and time by only using one charger. I am very happy with the quality and performance of this power tool. I also have the M18 FUEL hammer drill and this one performs any task I have used it on, just as good. This one is slightly smaller and feels better balanced in your hand. The included storage and carry case is rugged and the latches are strong.
