**This is a high quality drill in a great kit that becomes an even better value the more that you need/want the batteries** A few thoughts on each individual item: The carrying case is made of a heavy duty plastic with durable locking tabs. It holds everything well and ensures no damage is done during transport. A hole for a lock is included if needed. I tend to leave my drills laying around the shop but this is great for a jobsite. You get the multi-volt rapid charger here. No corners cut with the charger and I appreciate that as well as the ability to refill my m12 batteries. The included 4ah batteries are right about in the middle when looking at m18 batteries. Milwaukee has higher capacities and while more generally is better it also means bigger. I personally don’t want to lug around a drill with an enormous battery so the 4ah is a good match. The side handle for the drill is really well done. It attaches easily, locks in firm, and does not twist or warp under torque at all. It is a solid piece. Build quality of the drill is excellent. I especially like how compact it is. The entirety of the ½ in. chuck is metal and ratcheting feels good. It grips bits firm and I found no issues. Trigger, variable speed, and forward/lock/reverse are all smooth and responsive. Speed 1-2 was a little stiff but eased up when breaking in and the 18 speed dial clicks and sets great. I initially didn’t like the shift to drill/hammer mode. It doesn’t lock into place like the rest of the dial but in the end I found it acceptable. Realistically you’re not switching to hammer very often and the change to drilling feels just fine after using it. Rubber overmold and the plastics are top notch and what you would expect. A strong belt clip is included. Performance wise the drill with the included batteries met and exceeded my expectations. I saw almost no runout and was able to put it thru the ringer without a single electronic shut off. It did get a little hot though. The clutch worked well in all applications. Driving screws was a non issue. 3in. deck screws went into both hard and softwoods quickly and with little effort. You could certainly drive deck screws all day long if you wanted to. Drilling was equally as smooth. No issues putting holes into whatever wood or sheet metal I wanted. This drill is fast and torquey, when you need it. I took the hole saw all the way up to 5 in. and was really impressed at the speed and sturdiness with the handle. Hammer mode worked just as great. No trouble putting up to 5/16th holes into concrete. I’d want a rotary if I was doing all day masonry, but this drill is definitely up to the task when you need it. All in all I was not left wanting more out of this drill. Run time is a little hard to pinpoint but I will say I couldn’t kill one of the included 4ah batteries after 5 hours of heavy use. I put together two large cabinets in addition to the above testing and more in a single day and still had plenty juice to spare. If it isn’t an all day battery with one, it’s definitely way more than enough with the two. You really can tell the difference when it comes to run time with brushless tools. Which leads me to who I think this kit is for. I think this is a great entry into the m18 line of tools with everything that is included. With this kit it would be easy to branch off and buy bare tools as you need them. Additionally this could be a good value for those just looking to add some batteries and a nice drill to their arsenal. Weather you are the contractor/job site type or a DIY I believe this kit will get plenty of work done and is worth the look as long as your willing to pay the premium.

Superb power to weight ratio. The battery lasts a long time, although it rattles a bit when its attached to the tool. Not a big deal just a bit annoying. There also isn’t a confirming click between the regular and hammer drill modes (also not a big deal just an annoyance). Overall it’s probably the best hammer drill you could get in this price range. It will easily drill a 2 1/2″ hole with a hole saw and will not slow down no matter how hard you push.

Light and easy to use while being super powerful. Really happy I went brushless too, I have already had my impact driver serviced for worn brushes. No need to worry about this drill though 🙂

I bought this drill for my son who works in residential construction. He swears by Milwaukee power tools and doesn’t use any other brand. Nuff said.

This purchase is to replace my old Milwaukee 18 volt drill. Pluses: smaller, lighter. Negatives: less power, reversing switch too close to trigger, keep hitting the switch making it lock up.

I love the M18 tools form Milwaukee and have started replacing my other cordless tools from various manufacturers. Having all my tools using the same style battery will be much more convenient. This drill is nicely balanced and powerful. The handle stays in the case until you need to attach it for hammer drilling. Two batteries are nice so you have no down time waiting for one to charge. I like the LED light that illuminates where you are drilling and the hard case protects your investment and makes it easy to store everything together.

Made short work of 1/2″ holes in breeze blocks. Barely consumes any battery!

This is a hefty tool which will handle the job well. It has plenty of power and is comfortable to use. The balance is excellent. I especially like the chuck as it is easy to get a tight fit on the bit due to the design. It does not rotate when tightening. Enabling a tight grip without using the motor for assistance. The hammer drill works well. I have used various hammer drills over the years but this one is better than most. It is more aggressive when hammering the variable speed does come in handy for driving screws.

Reverse/forward switch is not that easily Manipulated. My be due to the fact that I am used to the control on my Dewalt. It is heavier than my previous drill but much more power and battery life

A quality drill that can handle most jobs requiring cordless power. I use it for larger holes like 6” in drywall and up to 3” in wood or metal. So far no trouble and I expect none.

I have several Milwaukee tools with the M18 battery. The battery is excellent. I’ve never had one fail prematurely, or deliver anything but desired results. Charging time is nominal, from zero to fully charged within an hour (I’ve never actually set a timer to test it). As far as this tool is concerned, the motor is high-torque. Drilling into concrete with a good hammer bit is like drilled into soft wood! It’s an invaluable tool for the purpose. My Milwaukee tools are used in the home, not at a construction site, so I can’t attest to its use in a commercial environment. But, for home use, it’s superior. Recommended!
