The Milwaukee M18 Cable Stripper Kit for Al THHN/XHHW vastly improves the cable stripping experience. With no exposed blades, the cordless cable stripper provides safer stripping than with a knife. The cable strippers compact, right-angle design enables users to maneuver it more easily in tight spaces with less strain on the wrist. The bushing design and adjustable depth gauge deliver cleaner, more accurate and consistent strips across all sizes. The cable jacket stripping tool is not only compatible with all Milwaukee bushings but is also compatible with competitive quick-change bushings. In addition to the battery-powered stripper, this kit contains 11 bushings for aluminum THHN and XHHW cables, 1 M18 Compact REDLITHIUM battery, an M18 and M18 Multi-Voltage Charger and a carrying case.

Utilizes and includes Milwaukee’s interchangeable 18V Lithium ion battery (M18); an impressive standard in their cordless line. Hard-sided carrying case included. Refer to the professional photos and video on the Home Depot website for insight on the specs, use, safety features and capabilities of this hand-held workhorse. Smooth sliding adjustment allows for a maximum strip of 3”; each collar has a blade adjustment to compensate for thickness of cable sheathing. Operation suggestion: begin rotation prior to inserting the cable. Pressure increases cutting speed. Unfortunately, Home Depot’s website links to the wrong Use and Care Manual (”M18 Mounting Flood Light”?) Refer to MilwaukeeTool.com to download the always well-written and helpful Owner’s Manual, along with clear guidance on safe use, detailed operation, and versatility.

Seriously good tool that makes light work of stripping cable insulation – see video. The kit covers eleven cable sizes and additional bushing kits are available. The quick change bushings can be swapped in seconds yet lock in very securely. The cutting blade on each bushing can be easily adjusted and also replaced when they become too dull but I imagine that would be a very long time. The tool itself is extremely well made and easy to handle. Its relative compactness makes it easier to use in tight spaces. The trigger is sensitive to pressure so a little pressure results in a slow cutting and applying more pressure increases the cut speed. The cut depth adjustment is simple and accurate and marked in SAE with metric on the other side.The 2.0 Amp hour battery showed 2 bars of charge when I first put it on the charger, just 35 minutes later the battery showed a full four bars and was fully charged. This tool can be used with any of the M18 range of batteries.

I work with heavy duty insulated wire cable from time to time in my job as a maintence man for a large company and when it came to stripping the cover or insulation on the larger cable I found it somewhat difficult as it was too large for the wire stripper pliers that I had for normal electrical work. Now I find that with this great 18 volt portable stripper tool it has made life much easier.Since I have a couple friends that work much more often with the larger shielded cable I went to their place of business to try the stripper out on many different size cables with them also joining in with me. In all cases the wire cable stripper made easy short work out of the job and impressed them to also want to purchase one of them. I found it very easy to adjust the length of the stripping as well as interchanging the sockets for the various diameter cables. really a great tool for working with heavy wire cable.

This kit comes with the dies needed to strip cable sizes 1/0 to 750 MCM. It will strip cables to 3 inches. The compact head allows you to get into tight panels. The kit comes with the tool, a 2.0 Ah battery (but is compatible with all M18 batteries), the cutting dies, charger and case.

If you work with bigger wiring this tool makes stripping the ends for termination a mindless task. The kit comes with a charger, extra battery and a multiple adapters that allow you to work with multiple different sized wiring. Changing the adapters is very easy and the tool is comfortable to hold. It has a paddle style trigger which makes operating it a breeze.

This is a nice and durable wire/cable stripping machine. It it light weight and compact enough for using in most electrical cabinets and panels. The 18 v lasts along time on the job. The trimming heads are easy to change going from 1/0 to 750 mcm. This is not a weekend warrior tool or made to strip bare wire, just made for electrical installations only. The only drawback is the case takes up a lot of room.

I received my Milwaukee M18 18-Volt lithium-Ion cordless cable stripper for Al THHN / XHHW wire cutting kit. This is a complete kit with 11 cutting bushings. The adjustable depth gauge works really good and can be set up to 3 inches. Its is easy to set too. With the quick-change bushing system the bushings can be changed quickly and easily. Anyone that”s ever had to strip the end off of large THHN or THHW electrical cables, knows that it can be tough to do (properly). The trick is to NOT nick the conductors because over time, that can cause a major problem and usually a dangerous one. So, Milwaukee has this dandy portable stripper that accommodates wires of various sizes with 100% accuracy. Wire size can be as small as 1/0 and can be as large as 750 MCM. It’s powered by an M18 battery. The kit includes eleven (11) different size dies, a batter-powered, motorized stripper, a M18 Battery and a Multi-voltage Battery Charger. The charger can charge M12 or M18 batteries. Every professional electrician should have one of these just to make sure that there are never any nicked wires.

This thing is amazing. If you run large gauge wire for industrial electricity, this could make your life a lot easier. It works so well and saves me wear and tear on my hands since I don’t have to manually strip wire anymore. Plus it is faster. MILWAUKEE M18 18-VOLT LITHIUM-ION CORDLESS CABLE STRIPPER KIT FOR AL THHN/XHHW WIRE CUTTING This Milwaukee cable/wire stripper has been very handy for me. I got it to help my buddy that was doing some electrical work for me and he liked it so much he went out and bought his own. I took mine to work to see if it will work on stripping wires I use all the time. For installing battery cables and power ground wires for amp installs. It does great at stripping wires from 4 gauge all the way up to 00 gauge. The size of the tool is big but it’s big enough that it doesn’t put you in a bind when using it. So you can hold the tool with one hand and the wire with the other hand. Once you set the depth gauge you can strip all your wires and they all come out the same. I’ve had to adjust some of the cutting bits to work correctly on the wiring I use but after that it strips the installation off without messing with any of the strands of wire. If you do a lot of wiring using big gauge wire and you want a stripper to help out so your installs go faster and look cleaner this it itI’ll post a pic of some of the wiring I use.
