The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/2 in. Mid-Torque Impact Wrench w/ Friction Ring delivers the best power to weight ratio, most access in tight spaces, and faster removal speed. It provides 650 ft. lbs. of nut-busting torque and only weighs 5.1 lbs., making it extremely versatile, capable of performing a wide variety of applications. Its POWERSTATE Brushless Motor generates the power needed to quickly perform many tasks, such as removing large bolts or lug nuts. This cordless impact wrench is the most compact in its class, giving users access to stubborn fasteners in spaces where larger impact wrenches can’t fit without needing to disassemble components to reach bolts. Tri-LEDs surround the anvil to deliver brighter light with fewer shadows. 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL offers greater precision with a range of pre-set RPM and IPM levels, selectable from a single button on the tool. By selecting Mode 4, AUTO SHUT-OFF control applies no more than 35 ft. lbs. of torque for hand-tight fastening applications to prevent overtightening. Mode 4 also features Bolt Removal Control that delivers users full torque output, then decreases RPMs once the bolt is loosened to prevent fastener drops. REDLINK PLUS Intelligence ensures maximum performance, protecting the tool against overloads, over-heating, and over-discharge. The M18 REDLITHIUM battery pack (not included) fits M18 tools, delivering more work per charge and more work over the life of the pack.

I am a professional / avid DIY person. I don’t use this tool on industrial equipment, because I work on cars, trucks, and SUVs. I also am a trailer mechanic, which means I keep the tractor trailers in check and fix airbags and anything else. I’m in the agricultural side of otr tractor trailer maintenance. This tool is amazing! I’ve seen youtube reviewers break loose 650ft lbs of reverse torque with this. I’m happy with my mid torque!!

It worked out great. I used to loosen nuts from Tundra and work so well.

Great impact, Being smaller allows me to get into some tight spaces, and it has the torque to get the job done. Glad I purchased.

This thing is nothing short of impressive. I have the M12 stubby and the M18 high torque and the power of this one is really impressive for its compact size.

This thing is fantastic ! I’ve been using the older 1/2″ 220FT LB Mid torque for years. This blows that out of the water, way more powerful and much, much quieter. Breaking loose rusted caliper bolts or removing wheel lugs is effortless.Video Demo https://youtu.be/OjwwwFLRns4

I don’t know what else I can add that has not been shared with some of the other reviews already posted, other than, it is an extremely nice tool for my needs. I’m one of those guys who rotates his own tires and changes his own motor oil in their vehicles. Throw in an occasional miscellaneous repair, if I can. This tool works great on wheel lug nuts of my 12 year old pickup truck and I have confidence it will have enough torque for many other repairs that require an impact wrench. It’s size alone is worth looking into. Compared to an air system, it will make your day. The friction ring is at the end of the anvil and holds the socket on, as opposed to mini balls like you have on ratchets. The advantage is not having to flush out the bearings. Milwaukee includes a spare kit. Easy to change on my older Milwaukee impact and it looks the same on this model. Nice storage case. Led lights. OK instructions. Perfect for a backyard mechanic.

This impact is an absolute powerhouse given its size. I used it to break the lower shock mount 2012 f150 with zero problems. Keep in mind the factory torque spec for this nut is 350ftlbs.

Best milwaukee mid torque impact yet. If you dont have a mid torque impact this is the one to get. I use it to work on my cars, removes wheels, crank pulleys, axle nuts and motor mounts.

The Milwaukee M18 ½” Mid-torque impact wrench is amazing. Tons of power, it just pops the lug nuts off on my ½ ton pickup like it’s not even trying. I really like mode 4 of the drive control. This mode eliminates the fear of over-torque. On this setting the wrench provides all 650 ft-lbs. of power to remove the lug nut and 35 ft-lbs. of fastening to snug up the lug so I can hand torque. Milwaukee really knocked it out of the park with this impact wrench. Even the carrying case is well made and thought out. I no longer need my air impact wrench.

My son and I had a full suspension upgrade on hi scar lined up for a weekend. Knowing that we would run into several issues (a certain German brand of cars are entirely over-engineered), we made sure to double check that we had all the specialty tools his car required. I had been eyeing this impact wrench for some time and while we could have done the job without this, I decided to pull the trigger. Boy, am I glad that I did. There was not a single nut that I could reach that this did not quickly bust free. And by quickly, I mean almost instantly. And we are talking about hefty suspension bolts up to 21mm that are torqued over 120 ft-lbs at the factory and that have been on this car for 14 years now. Plus since we were working on jack stands, using a longer breaker bar really wasn’t an option so this saved us on more than a few of these bolts. Like all of Milwaukee’s cordless tools, this thing is a beast. The ring lighting works great, especially in wheel wells and under a car. The ability to select different speeds is great as well. Although I used the automatic (4th) setting that automatically slows down once the fastener is broken free, which kept me from flinging nuts across the garage. Comes in handy on the fastening side as well as it allowed me to snug the fastener and come back with the torque wrench for final tightening. I bought the bare tool since I had 2 M18 batteries from a drill/driver combo I bought 12 years ago. I was worried that this would drain through those older and smaller batteries but it did not. We were able to remove and install front and rear control arms, shocks, springs and struts on one battery charge. Beyond impressed with this and glad I waited for the more compact mid-torque as it should eliminate the need for two torque wrenches in my garage (was looking at getting the high torque and a stubby).
