Had it about 3 days before the paddle switch stopped working. Waiting on a replacement. As for performance besides that it works great. Only complaint is it seemed to drain batteries extremely quickly even when cutting super thin material and not bogging. Hopefully there’s just a problem with mine and it wont be the case when i recieve the replacement.

I was very happy with the fuel 5″ i decided having the 6″ would hurt. I already had two 5″ grinders and after purchasing the 6″ i immediately purchased another. This grinder is just as if not more powerful than my dewalt 13 amp corded grinder and if i had used this before buying the the other two 5 inch grinders i might own 4 at this time. I am a metal fabricator/ welder and i mainly use the 6inch for cutting and grinding while i used the 5 inch for cleaning(wire wheel/ flap discs). I am on an industrial contract and this has been my go to all day every single day the last two months 6 days a week and i have not been upset one time. Milwaukee has delivered yet again. Also for the price/ performance compared to other brands this is a no brainer. Would buy again, did buy again. Recommended this with two 8.0 high output gets me through most 10 hour days.

This braking grinder is above all the rest. I’ve had several corded and one other cordless. This Milwaukee has more torque than the other cordless and equivalent or better than the corded models. The braking feature is awesome. Take your finger off the trigger and it stops within a couple of seconds. You can lay it down quickly and go on. It’s heavy depending on how big of a battery you click on it. I use a 3.0 and 5.0 regularly. It’s a handful with a 6.0 and a 12.0. It’ll run til your arm is tired with the 12.0. I highly recommend this grinder.

…it has made all my grinding, cutting and sharpening jobs a little quick and easy.I admit, that this tool is a little more than I need, but I really wanted the braking feature included with this new generation of tool. I like the safety feature associated with having the disc stop within a few seconds of releasing the trigger.

The only thing I didn’t like was that it doesn’t come with a smaller guard for when you use 4 1/2″ discs. They say you can purchase one, but they don’t give you any information about the product number for it.

This grinder has more power than my “blue” corded grinder of similar rated capacity. Very handy piece of equipment to keep nearby. I really appreciate the rapid stop feature, as I can immediately set it down after use instead of waiting for it to spool down. Well balanced for one hand operation if needed. I suggest 8.0 amp or larger batteries for this tool.

This grinder is the bees knees, sure it eats batteries, but I use it with both a 12ah and the standard 5ah battery and never had any overheating issues. I have had it for over a year and do a significant amount of metal fabrication. My only complaint is that it should be able to accept 7″ wheels since 6″ wheels are not easy to find
