This set has been amazing! I’m only a DIYer, but doing major renovations on a house built in 1890. I’ve rebuilt a kitchen, bath, mud room, master bedroom, converted a small office to a walk-in closet, and put in new hardwood floors. Most of the walls have gone back to the studs, some have been wholly redone, and everything was rebuilt. This set has been absolutely critical throughout every project. I needed to buy some extra batteries and a second charger, but that was only because I was using them so often. I went back and forth on a couple other brands before buying, but haven’t looked back since. I can’t recommend this set more!

Don’t get me wrong, Milwaukee are great tools. Once I unpackaged the kit I inspected all items to ensure they all functioned and all parts were accounted for. A few days later I went to use the impact driver and realized the locking ball (that prevents the chuck from coming out) wasn’t there. I tried to exchange at the store, but they wouldn’t take it back because I didn’t have the packaging any more. Now I have to go through Milwaukee ship it back wait for the repair and then wait for them to ship it back. Home Depot is a Corporate conglomerate and I wouldn’t shop there if I didn’t have to.

I bought this at HD because it was $199 and came with a free 8ah battery – so either the battery or the light was essentially free. I already own the M12 version. That light is good but doesn’t last long enough on a 4ah battery and it doesn’t throw enough light for my purpose. This unit definitely throws more light but still not enough for me. It’s fine for doing coarse work but it does not throw enough light for finish type work. I’m getting a 7000 lumen corded work light instead. I find that the LED lights like this give off a nice light but it doesn’t seem to throw it very far. The M12 version feels like you need to be about 8 feet away and this one is about 10 feet. This one has better overall color and light coverage but it is still a location light. And if you are moving around a room this thing is big and cumbersome. I also agree with everyone else that it would be nice for the battery to charge while the cord is in. Build quality is definitely Milwaukee overkill.
