This thing is great- I can’t wait for the laser receiver to come out so I can use it for grading. Admittedly, I’ve only used knock off rotary lasers before (in the $100-$200 range), and this is definitely way better than those. It self levels almost instantly, and is super, super bright. It is simple to use, just select which plane you want, and off you go. It may be over-kill for the average homeowner or DIYer, but I love this thing.

This thing is the bees knees! This is my first big boy self leveling laser and it is awesome. It works well in lit areas and I have used it beyond 100′, it is a little faint at that distance, but it is still there. I will call out because I have seen it on forums, you can use the intersecting opposite points as plumb points, I have compared this to my older laser for plumb and it is accurate, but with this you have 3 opposite axis points to go off of for plumb. My only negative is the cost, it’s tad hard to fork out the cash, but it is worth it!

This laser is one of the best I’ve used. The knob to adjust the direction of the laser is a game winner feature.

Been trying to get this here in Canada ever since release. Promises everywhere including Home Depot. Had to buy 3521-21 just to get buy…. still waiting

The laser is very good my only issue with it would be the weight of the actual laser I wouldn’t trust using it on a a cheaper or average torpedo stand or hanging on a wall so for me that’s a big down side but the battery life is amazing I can easily get a couple days without charging it and that’s having it on 90% of the day. The green laser line is a little thicker then I like also but it’s very strong at distance like they claim.

What would have made this the best all around laser was that it needs the single point added to it. But apart from that i think its great. I have compared it with co workers lasers and this is the best

This is a mammoth laser, one for the professional who relies on durability and accuracy in their workmanship. My first thought was how do you get this battery out of the laser to charge? I had to go to the manual that reads that there are two buttons that you have to squeeze simultaneously to remove the battery. What buttons… oh on the neck of the battery! You have to squeeze like nobody’s business to get the two holding concealed clips compressed to get the battery to come out…. my only thoughts this was that this design for tradesmen who would carry the laser by the battery Milwaukee did not want the battery coming loose and the laser to drop on the floor. The M12 battery is has a 15-hour runtime for this laser plus the battery fits all M12 tools This thing is a beast… but if you are like me and price is secondary and you enjoy tools and want the best, this checks all the marks. The base that it’s attached to allows you to place it on a flat surface or on a tripod with two threaded inserts on the bottom of the attached base 1/4-20 – 5/8-11 threads. The base has a knob for fine adjustments left or right, most quality bases have increment to go up and down never seen one that goes left to right to plumb dial it in , it also has two powerful magnets on the backside of the base to attach to a metal structure. The main button to turn it on 1, is on pendulum lock, position on 2, pendulum unlocked to let the pendulum swing free for leveling position there are two additional separate buttons that will focus in on what part of the laser beam you want to use vertical, horizontal or both. The green laser beam is very bright about an eighth of an inch (1/8) wide the accuracy that is advertised is an eighth of an inch (1/8) at 33 ft. Most of these line lasers are meant to use indoors. The laser comes in a plastic case with styrofoam molded for the laser, charger and battery, and some targeting accessories. This is a precision tool to have in your tool chest my only complaint is that they should have made the battery easier to get out there are no marks on the battery to show you where to squeeze to remove the battery and once you figure that out you have to squeeze it pretty hard. All in all Milwaukee has a good reputation for making quality tools and Home Depot has one for backing products that they sell to consumers.

Its my first personal laser level. The quality seems very well made. Its hefty, and the lasers are crisp and thin at about an eighth of an inch. Very bright lasers, although this depends of course on the surrounding lighting conditions. The micro adjust is a big help due to most lasers lacking this feauture. It does what it was made to do and does it well. If I had to make a complaint, it would be the weight… like one of the other reviews, I would not trust too many accessories with this laser because of the weight, I own the milwaukee 360-degree laser bracket and barely trust that it wont fall from a slight bump or something.

Crisp lines and solid construction. Micro adjustment knob is good. It is nice that the pendulum locks automatically when you put the on/off dial into the off position. Drawbacks are it’s too heavy to attach to a corner bead, and the battery is difficult to remove.

So far so good. Seems to be pretty accurate with the leveling and works well indoors (haven’t tried outside yet)

solid tool. all 3 lines are crisp and clear. set comes with everything except tripod

It wasn’t as bright as I expected it to be. Because I was outside in a covered area and could barely see it at 60’0. Which we were outside so not sure if I got a bad laser out of a bunch or what but no way was I getting a 165’0 like it says it’ll do. Now don’t get me wrong I like Milwaukee tools platform and every tool I have is a Milwaukee so not just trying to down Milwaukee.

Have used it on several jobs. The green laser is very defined even outside.

This kit includes the 360 degree 3 plane green laser level, M12 XC4.0 Ah battery, battery charger and Alignment Target. They are housed in a molded plastic outer case with a molded foam inner liner – the molded foam liner does an excellent job of protecting the components. The overall dimensions of the laser level are 7-7/8” long x 6-9/16” tall x 4-11/16” wide – The total weight including the battery is 3 lbs 10.2 oz. The 4.0 Ah battery gives about 15 hours of run time. The Laser Alignment Target is a 4” square black plastic body with a magnetized bottom and a hang hole – it has a reflective specular target face. There is s 3 year warranty on both the laser unit and the battery. The body is dust and water splash protected (IP54 rated) – evident of attention to detail – there are two little drain holes at the bottom of the battery compartment, in case any water should splash into it.A control panel is on the side of the unit – an ON/OFF rotary switch, the Micro Control knob and 3 buttons for beam selection. A power on light and battery level indicator lights are also on the panel (see photos) There are two ON positions, locked and unlocked beams – in the unlocked mode there is an automatic leveling feature that can compensate within a range of plus or minus 4 degrees – the beam(s) will flash if the unit is not within the level range. The green laser beams have a visible limit of 125 feet (250 foot diameter). This range can be increased to 165 feet with an optional Laser Detector (not currently available 1/23/2021). The Micro Control allows fine adjustments about a plumb point. If you want to make micro adjustments to the horizontal beam, you will need accessories not included – either the Milwaukee “360-degree Quick Connect Laser Mount” or a tripod with a hand crank center column. The image shown for the Micro Control in the “Product Overview” is very misleading – they show a swing angle of about 75 degrees – the actual swing angle of the Micro Control is only about 9 degrees (see photo) – although the laser body can rotate almost 300 degrees on the integrated bracket – the pivot point is on axis with the 5/8” tripod screw hole and not the plumb point. Like most Milwaukee M12 tools, removing a battery can be difficult – M12 batteries use a combination of a friction fit and pronged squeeze latches to keep the battery in place.

Very helpful tool for laying flooring and ceiling grids. The 3 planes of the laser can each be turned off independently so you can see just the laser that you are using, but often the extra laser plane will make setup and adjusting easier and give you a checkpoint. The self leveling feature is amazingly accurate and works even on a uneven surface of a crooked old house. Also micro adjusting the verticals is simple by a turn knob. For the most part you can have it mounted aligned and leveled within a few minutes. The level is tripod mountable with 1/4″-20, 5/8″-11 screw mount but also has magnets to mount to metal studs or you can just nail it down. I was glad to see it has a 3 year warranty that also covers the battery. There is a battery status light that will alert you to when it needs a charge , so far I have only used a few hours a time but the battery holds a charge a long time. The laser says it has a working range of 125′ , maybe in the perfect lighting but on average realistically I would say you start to loose it before it hits 100′. The kit did not include a beam detector but I hear you can get the range up to 165′ with beam detector. Outside in sunlight it is not visible for more than a few feet away so its not made for use outside. I guess you can use it outside with the beam detector. But this in meant to be a indoor unit. The kit included case that protects the laser, also has a spot for a extra battery and a beam detector.
