I recently used one of these blades in my Milwaukee reciprocating saw to cut through some lumber previously used on the job site. The blades cut fast and true and even though I didn’t cut through any nails, I did manage to slice through quite a few big staples with no problems. The blade stayed sharp with multiple cuts so I have confidence this 10 blade pack will last me quite a ling time.

9 in. 5 TPI AX Nail-Embedded Wood Cutting Reciprocating Saw Blades (10-Pack) review: Another superior Milwaukee product! I just got a reciprocating saw and right now am using it to prune very thick branches both dead and alive from our front and back yard. These 9 inch blades are the perfect length AND they cut right through both live and dead tree limbs. Man, they tear right through quickly! I have not tested it on pine with embedded nails but they look very stout and are thick – they do not bend easily. Man, Milwaukee just keeps turning out superior products in every category. Whatever tree limb I had to cut through (some were over 5 inches in width) it just tore it up! Man, and clean cuts too! So far I have used just the first blade and it looks barely used. Man! I just Love Milwaukee products! There ya go!

These are quality reciprocating saw blades. Nice and long and they don’t give up if they hit a nail. Having ten means I will not quickly run out. The tang is universal so they fit my cordless and corded reciprocating saw (Ryobi and DeWalt respectively). They cut agressively which is what I want for this type blade. I do not use the reciprocating saw for fine work.

These blades are awesome and they out worked three other styles of blades. Cut though asphalt shingles like no other.

These are excellent blades. They have a very aggressive tooth pattern that really cuts the wood. I ran a little experiment where I cut an untreated 4×4 with a regular blade and then cut it with one of these blades. True to the their claim, the Milwaukee blade cut at least twice as fast as the conventional blade ! I got this ten pack of blades because I have a bad habit of keeping a blade long past its useful life ! Hopefully, having a ten pack, I will replace my blades before they get super dull. Pictures attached.

I’m a DIY guy and I find it much easier to deconstruct things by just cutting them apart. These blades do a great job on wall framing and decking where you find an occasional nail where you weren’t expecting one. Fine product – I highly recommend them.

This review is for the Milwaukee model 48-00-1026 “Ax” Sawzall blade, which includes 10 blades in the pack. Milwaukee makes several different Sawzall blades, so it’s important that the review you’re reading matches the model number of the blade you’re researching. The “Ax” (the name is imprinted on each blade, making it easy to find when stored with other blades) is designed to go through “wood with nails”. I mounted a blade in a Ryobi reciprocating saw and gave it a workout going through treated 2×4’s. (You don’t need a Milwaukee brand saw to use these blades). The blade performed very well – although at one point I did get a bit of ‘kick-back’ when I hit something hard (a knot, most likely, I didn’t see any nails at the spot I was cutting). It was momentary and the blade dug in and completed the cut. The only real sign of wear was where the logo is imprinted on the blade – that got smeared. The blade itself appears to be as sharp as when I took it out of the pack. I’m a semi-retired IT tech / homeowner / DIY’er, not a pro, so opinions may vary as to the longevity of the “Ax”. This new blade will be a good match for the types of projects in which I get involved and I don’t think it’s overkill for a non-pro to use these new Milwaukee blades. The blades are made in the USA and come in a blister pack – no case is provided so you’ll want somewhere to store the loose blades. As always, where hand / eye / hearing protection when using reciprocating saws. HTHRegards,Jim

Gosh, this has to be the best blade on the market. We demolished a 16 by 20 shed using just 3 of these blades! The blades stay nice and straight even if you poke the blade tip.The teeth of this blade alternate outside blades frame so it is able to clear saw dust out of the teeth and thus cut fast!
