This Milwaukee 9 in. 3 TPI Pruning Carbide Teeth Wood Cutting SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw Blade was used for cutting limbs on a fallen tree. I used a cordless recip saw, the blade performed very well. It has a tall profile for strength and with the carbide teeth; it seems durable and should last a long time. With 3 teeth per inch, I was surprised how smooth the cut was on the 4”-5” limbs. I did make several cuts on 6″ and 7″ limbs with no problem! The larger part of the tree is going to be chainsaw worthy! Made in USA.

This blade gives the homeowner one more reason to keep a Sawzall nearby. The blade is thick, sturdy ans will cut green wood better than any pruning hand saw. There is always some low hanging bushes and limbs around my back deck. Rather than getting out the chainsaw ( which usually does not crank easy), I just get the Sawzall, plug in a 100 foot extension cord , and manicure the large shrubbery. I have also cut new wet treated wood with no problem.

The Milwaukee 9 inch carbide sawzall blade exceeded my expectations and make quick work of my last yard project for the season. A few summers ago I had 3 mature trees (Spruce and 2 cedars) taken down and was left with I unsightly stumps and huge roots that that started to effect my fence. I attached this blade to my Ryobi reciprocating saw and went to work. The blade can go into the earth and easily severed the roots. I was concerned the most with the old cedars, but the blade easily made the cuts.

This blade us a beast. I had a bunch of saplings that I had to cut down and I wanted to get below the surface , I had no problem with the blade doing that job.

Carbide teeth was a must have. Cut out a large tree stump that a chainsaw couldn’t do. once there is dirt on a chainsaw blade is dull. doesn’t affect this blade.

Milwaukee 12 in. 3 TPI Pruning Carbide Teeth Wood Cutting SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw Blade (3-Pack). I use these blades all the time to trim palm trees and cut up large branches when trimming. They cut fast and clean. I have also used the blades to cut roots when digging post holes or other underground construction. They stay sharp though many cutting tasks, but the blade is pressed without any carbide added to the teeth, so they do wear down on tough surfaces and when cutting in earth. The most trouble I have had is when the blade breaks or bends and must be straightened.

I like this saw blade. It cuts through branches really easily, and has plenty of length to cut just about anything I want to with it. While the length of this blade is a benefit, it can also get in the way of things. One potential use case for the recip blade would be to cut roots, but with the longer blade, I found it difficult to avoid getting the blade in the dirt. Milwaukee does make this blade in slightly shorter variants, though, and even after getting the blade a bit dirty, it still was sharp to the touch. One thing with a long blade that I would worry about is potential flex/bending of the blade. I found it to be very sturdy, though; I was not worried it would get caught and bend at all. While I did not attempt to cut an 11-12″ tree with this so far, I’m very satisfied with this saw blade and the results I’ve seen so far. It can cut through a 3-4″ branch in very short order using my little Ryobi 18v recip saw.

These new carbide tipped sawzall blades are a welcome additition to anyone who owns a Sawzall tool. Mine isn’t a dedicated sawzall but a sawzall attachment for my Ridgid multi tool. I don’t use that attachmnet very often but when I need a sawzall that attachment comes in very handy although it isnt as powerful as the dedicated sawzall. These 12 inch blades are real handy if you have to trim some big branches if you don’t have access to a chainsaw. If you need sawzall blades I would highly recommend these carbide tipped blades as they will last much longer than a regular blade. Almost all your circular saw blades and table saw blades are carbide tipped these days and there is a reason for that. Much greater longevity.
